Tuesday Night Dance 101 (Ali & Open)

Ray looked at Victoria "What do you mean by that. From here it looks like a cheap gold chain."

Erik was clueless as he headed back to the table, the first dancer was there talking to Ray and he'd have to stand oh well he was on cloud 9.

Mathieu was ignoring Ray and Victoria, because he'd seen the necklace up close, it was no cheap gold chain, it was a gold chain with a gold stone that he was pretty sure wasn't a topaz.

As the blonde left the stage and a pretty brunette took her place, starting into her dance routine.

She actually had to fight the urge to put her hand over her face or even slap Ray in the back of the head. She leaned close to whisper to Ray quietly.

"And what does it mean when a woman wears a choker instead of a ring to signify her relationship?"

Help me out here, kid. I'm trying to help you.

Ray paused following Victoria as she spelled it out, then got a sadistic smile on his face "Oh she swings that way...." with a sudden look towards Ali that even got the bartender to pause, turn and look to see whom was looking now - because it was not a good look at at all.

Ali checked to see if Medwyn wanted his coffee warmed up, it was a quick 1 minute sanity break before she went back to keeping the booze flowing and for once she was very happy she was off tomorrow night.

She was moving her hand in a gesture to indicate the flow of his thoughts, rolling her eyes again when she saw that he got it. When she was certain that he got it and was then satisfied at the look on his face, she rose to her feet so Erik could have his chair back.

She picked up the shot of Fireball and downed it, sitting the empty shot glass back on the table and giving Matieu another nod of thanks. With a gentle hand on Ray's shoulder, she gave it a gentle squeeze.

"You're welcome," she said politely and started to walk away from the table, if none of them stopped her.

Rachel caught the end of the conversation, as Victoria walked away, not sure what was said but she was too happy for anything good to come out of it. She made a note in her mind to try to remember to check the tapes after tonight to see if she could figure any of what she could of just done was going to be figured out via the tape.

And another grope, then back to work and still another okay dancer she was surprised that Victoria pulled back her performance - after all she could barely pull back her appearance after all. Then mental slap - bad furniture - remember tonight you are walking talking furniture....

Back to work she went.

Oh, look. It was her turn. She took a deep breath as she made her way onto the dance floor. She couldn't let Victoria get the best of her, no matter how worried she might be of the other woman's penchant for causing trouble. So she ignored all of her possible worries and just began to dance, letting the music and the moves just take over while she did her thing*.

Oh Rachel heard the music, taking a deep breath because at times her boss really was naïve, then the crowd surged forward as she danced, and Rachel got crushed forward. Luckily not hurt, not smashed, but the crowd was pressing forward to watch and well, just as she stepped to the bar, the pushing and shoving in the crowd was starting.

The were a hair's breath from a club wide brawl, it was about to become a ticking time bomb and whom was going to light that match or push that button that was going to have this place in mass chaos. which was funny because with whom was here it could be fixed very subtly and none would be any the wiser either.

Time to move.

He turned to give Ali a look that very, very clearly said to stay back there behind the bar. After sitting his coffee cup down, he just slid off of the bar stool and started forward, making a path for Rachel to be able to walk through. Rachel was nearly as small as Griselda and he wasn't all about the crushing of the small ladies.

When he looked at Griselda and saw that her eyes were mostly closed and knowing how innocent she could sometimes be, he just used his height and his elbows to make sure that he got in front of the surging crowd. If need be, he could easily use his body to form a barrier between the redhead and the gathering crowd.

Rachel used Medwyn's path to get behind the bar herself, then on the edge to help Ali serve drinks, then watched him go and see that Griselda was safe. Touching the ear bud, she again looked to the camera and nodded her head yes to Sean - the full security should be here asap -and it was going to arrive maybe too late.

For her part, she simply looked bored. She put herself between the other women that she had brought with her (they were still just humans) and that was pretty much the end of her worry.

One one of the more rare moments, when she opened her eyes, she very nearly stopped dancing. She wasn't expecting a surge of people coming toward her. She cast a quick glance around the room, noticing the placement of Jamie, Medwyn, Victoria...even Bunicul. Then she looked for Rachel and found the girl behind the bar with Ali and nodded almost imperceptibly.

Then she looked for Erik. Because he, too, was just a human. She was looking to find him to make sure that he was safe somewhere.

Erik was at the table with the guy's they had not moved, the row of tables they were with were still in the same row, many around them had moved with the crowd but Ray was whispering to Erik who was shaking his head and leaning forward back talking to him. The table of the guys were at the moment very safe.

Ali, the bar back and Rachel were still working behind the bar; Ali though was handing out a ton of ice water glasses to people while they watched Griselda and didn't have an issue saying no to people that seemed to be a bit tipsy already.

After making sure that the bar wasn't going to, like, explode on her while she danced, she finished the routine and slipped off of the floor. It was someone else's turn and she was letting the next brunette get to the stage while trying to slip through the crowd mostly unnoticed (ha! that's a joke!) toward the bar to check on the ladies back there.

Which meant that now he was playing bodyguard to Griselda. He caught her when she slipped off of the stage and whispered something into her ear and started to use his body to make her a path toward the bar.

This was going to get really interesting really fucking quick.

Entering the crowd wasn't the smartest thing as the crowd tried to surge and swallow Griselda, good thing Medwyn was there to escort her to the bar, because otherwise there would of been a stampeed to get closer to her. Now with her at the bar, the crowd came with her, a number of people talking to her at once, asking her name, (number) and how often she came here. When would she be performing again..... It was a barage of questions, people and they all wanted her attention RIGHT NOW. Not paying attention to whom they ran over, talked over or seem to cut off ot get to her.

A couple of pushing and pushing back skirmishes happened while the crowd went to follow her.

He made sure Griselda got to the bar safely. Then he gave Ali a look of 'are you kidding me?' and turned to vault with one rather graceful leap onto the top of the bar.

Then he put two fingers in his mouth and whistled -- loudly.

Ali looked at him with a "I told you so" look but kept handing out water, but was impressed when he whistled and most stopped what they were doing and went to listen to him standing on the bar. She had to admit she rather liked the current view but then again she knew she was biased.

She smiled at Griselda as she entered behind the bar too and handed her a glass of water,.

Once he had everyone's attention, he spoke loudly enough that everyone could hear.

"Hey, folks! I'm sure that Miss McKenzie is very pleased that you all enjoyed her performance so much. If you would like to speak to her, I would suggest doing so in an orderly fashion and let the lady get some water and rest, since we all know dancing is hard work. Settle down some and she'll speak with you when she's rested up a little bit. In the meantime, how about we watch the next lovely lady dance?"

He gestured toward the floor where the brunette was preparing for her dance.

She reached for the glass of water with a grateful look, then looked slightly pained, then looked up at Medwyn. Then she leaned over to whisper to Ali and Rachel.

"Sorry. Didn't expect that."

Ali looked at Griselda "I did." looking up at Medwyn with a smile at her Boss. "Take tomorrow night off please, I have the alternate crew on and they can't handle this kind of crowd. I'll be back Thursday through Saturday night." with a nod to her.

Rachel hugged Griselda, not saying anything and making sure she was okay. "Sean called in the weekend numbers to handle what's in the parking lot and he's on the cameras but he says the parking lot is full." with a smile at her.

She looked a little sheepish and actually blushed.

"So noted. I have a date on Thursday, so no worries there."

She turned to Rachel and hugged the blonde woman.

"Thank you. I was not exactly expecting this."

Ali raised an eye brow as she said she had a date but it wasn't her place to say anything.

"Just be careful okay?" with a grin at her boss, then back to working the bar, making sure water had make it out to the crowd, now to start refilling the booze drinks.

He finished his announcement and hoped like hell that it worked. Then he just hopped off of the bar and onto the floor, landing on his feet. And turning around to pick up his coffee cup again. And frowned that it had gone cold during the time it took to handle crowd control.

"Woman, you owe me," he said to Griselda and grinned, tapping his cup to let Ali know he needed fresh coffee. But he was in no hurry.

She looked at Ali and nodded.

"I will. Don't worry."

Then she turned her head and laughed at Medwyn.

"Oh, thank you so much Mister T. I'll be sure to compensate you accordingly."
