Tuesday Night Dance 101 (Ali & Open)

"I really have no idea" he sighed "I'm very bad at this. Always have been. Anyway, I'll be sitting here not engaging in impolite or impure thoughts."

She laughed and shook her head, then stood upright and grabbed a nearby water bottle.

"Don't worry about it. Seriously. Don't."

Victor smiled "I won't. You don't ahh have anything that suits my drinking habits back there do you?"

"Thank you Jaime." with a blush as he complimented her. She then started to hand out water bottles.

She laughed.

"I do, but I can't serve it to you. It's still alcoholic and last call is well over."

Rachel was too handing out bottles of water, seeing if she needed to call any cabs and still being the cheerful cocktail waitress for those that were still left hanging around the bar.

"Hmph. I'll remember for next time."

She smiled and shrugged.

"I don't make the rules. I just have to follow them."

"I know. I best be getting home though. It was a pleasant night."

She nodded and gave him a wave.

"Have a good night. Say hi to Miyu for me."

Ali looked over at him, "Yes please tell her Hi from me too." with a grin at Victor and a wave at him.

"I will" he smiled to both women as he slipped out of the bar with a polite nod to the several higher ranking kindred in the room.

She leaned back against he bar and started to idly clean it with one hand, preparing for the majority of people to leave now that the festivities were over. She looked over at Ali.

"You, my dear, are amazing."

Ali looked at Griselda, "Just doing my job Boss." with a sigh happy to see the bar finally thinning out and a glance towards Medwyn.

Ray did raise his glass one last time to Medwyn, then headed out with the rest of the table but Erik.

Erik headed towards the bar where Griselda was, but standing to the side to let her handle her employee and what she needed to deal with first.

Once she saw that the bar was thinning out, she turned to Ali.

"Hey, listen. I wasn't expecting it to be so hectic tonight." She glanced over at Erik and flashed him a bright, brilliant smile. "So I'm going to go ahead and call the cleaning service tonight. Go ahead and kick out."

Victor walked back in with a scowl on his face. "Speaking of cleaning do you have something that will treat... vomit on leather seats. Somebody decided my automobile was a chum bucket."

She went to say something then stopped, "Thank you." then moved towards Medwyn, as Victor came back in upset. She looked to Griselda to see how she wanted to handle the issue.

Erik waved and smiled back at her, but was still patiently waiting for her to do her thing as the boss.

Victor just had this peculiar mix of disgusted, frumpy outrage and anger on his face. It probably looked pretty damned funny to anyone who even remotely knew the Ventrue.

She was looking at Ali and when Victor spoke, she actually laughed. She covered her mouth with her hand and held out her other hand, palm up. She choked back the laugh and cleared her throat.

"Give me your keys. I'll get you a ride home and have your car detailed for you."

Rachel looked at Victor, "Shall I call you a cab?" keeping a straight face where Griselda failed.

"I paid twenty five thousand dollars for that car..." Of course that was back when a doctor might earn three grand a year "It's seen hell and unspeakable horrors and driven all over the worst parts of Europe... I've driven it through the back alleys of Istanbul... but this..."  

Fuming Ventrue was fuming.  He fished out his keys and handed them to Griselda "Thank you, I appreciate that."

Victor looked at Rachel and shook his head. "No, thank you. I may just walk. I haven't had my supper yet."

Medwyn held out his arm for Ali, reaching to take her hand.

"Ready to get off of your feet for a while?"

She was trying really, really, really hard to be sympathetic. Really, she was. But the annoyance just made the whole thing funnier.

"Don't worry, I'll treat it just like I would treat a baby."

She would, too. Victor knew she was good for her word with that sort of thing. So she pocketed the key to his car and turned to the phone so that she could both call in for a cleaning crew for the evening as well as call the one mechanic in town that she trusted to have Victor's car detailed.

"There are... things in there" he said after a moment. "Chicago typewriter and the like."

"I suspect I am being rather hilarious to outside observers."

She glanced up from her phone call and laughed.

"Don't worry about your car. It'll be in the same condition when you get it back, minus the vomit. And that's it."
