"Can you honor a god you do not know?"

"I meant do the Gods reply. Can you feel them? Do they gift you with their power?"

"Oh, yes. They pay attention. They sometimes even fill me with their approval."

What was scary was that she wasn't kidding.

He nodded. Because he actually knew of this He felt the approval of his god all the time.. sort of.

"What pain do you give them, is it just pain, or a particular type? Do you mix it? And is it ever your own pain?"

"I give them whatever pain I can manage to give them. And oh, yes. My own pain as well. And my blood."

He was nearly fully recovered from what she did earlier, not showing any pain at all.

"No pleasure mixed with the pain?"

"The pleasure comes after. The pain must be pure for it to be accepted."

"Let the pain be just the pain. I'll make sure you are pleasured afterward. But for now, let the pain wash through you. Give in to it. Let it carry you."

"Then we will do this. I will do this for my god. You do what you will for yours. Just know. my pain may be a gift to the gods, but I am no sacrifice."
