"And so you can never give your own pain, just that of others."

he put away the knife, it was useless.

"Does that bother you?"

She shrugged.

"If my God made this way, who am I to question it?"

"You have never been able to feel pain? Can you feel pleasure?"

She tilted her head.

"How do you define pleasure?"

He shrugged.

"I am no philosopher. I was thinking touch. Um.. Physical pleasure? not sure I am saying that right. Spanish says it better."

She tilted her head.

"I speak Spanish."

He changed languages to spanish.

'I was talking of the pleasure of touch, of sensual feeling, that skin against skin gives you. If you feel no pain, can you feel anything?"

She smiled.

"Yes, to some extent."

He looked at her curiously.

"But not as strongly as you used to?"

She tilted her head.

"No Kindred feels anything as strongly as they used to."

he shrugged.

"True. But there is a difference between being..muted and hard to feel."

She shrugged.

"For some, maybe."

He looked at her.

"Not for you?"

She shook her head.

"No. Not for me."

He nodded.

"Then sex for you is just a means.. to..giving other people pain? Worshiping your god?"

She tilted her head.

"Sex is meaningless and a way to feed. Nothing more."

He smiled.

"Your god obviously did not have a sexual side."

She blinked.

"What?"

He shook his head.

"My god is a god of death and blood but also of rebirth and sex."

She just stared at him.

"Interesting."

He shook his head.

"WHy is that interesting?"

She blinked.

"Because it is. A god of death should never be the god of rebirth."

He laughed.

"You obviously never were studies the religions that celebrated death as necessary for live, rather than something to be conquered or enjoyed as destructive."

"Why would I study a religion that is not my own?"

he shrugged.

"evidently, you wouldn't. Can't say I have either. But you said you worship many. So I thought you would know more of the gods than just a handful. No big deal."
