He nodded.

"You know me already no doubt."

She shrugged.

"I wouldn't say that I know you."

He looked at her for a moment.

"Then I guess you are just more trusting."

"Or just that self-confident."

He chuckled.

"On the border of conceit?"

She tilted her head.

"I wouldn't call it conceit."

He shrugged.

"Now, you want to see what i can do?"

With her help he shrugged out of the chains. But rather than chain her up he looked around.

"Do you have a very sharp knife?"

She tilted her head and pointed toward the bench -- which looked quite a bit like a work bench. She was completely unafraid.

"On the bench."

Rafael walked over to the bench a little stiff from the beating he took earlier. He looked at the tools there and inspected the knife. Fo him it had to be sharp. Very very sharp.

And it was. Sharp and shiny and very wicked-looking.

He brought over the knife drew a line across her skin to see how sharp it was. he picked a spot just across the ribs, where it would sting, and the sea air would make it sting.

"Nice knife. Thirsty knife."

She didn't even flinch. She tilted her head to see what he was about, curiously. But she didn't flinch. And yes, the knife was very, very sharp.

He cut her, skinning her bit by bit. He didnt make her lose much blood the the blood that flowed was.. in a particular way. Very ceremonial. And he did seem to know where to cut to make it hurt, without slicing too deep or hiting anything...vital.

Actually, no blood flowed. In a Kindred, blood flows when you want it to flow, but no other time. So there was no blood that flowed from the brunette -- and she made no sound at all. She didn't whimper... she didn't cry out... and no, she didn't moan. She just watched him cutting her with interest.

Interesting, that she didnt react to the pain at all. He considered it proof that he could continue. So he cut more, enjoying the feel of the knife in his hands as he cut away.

And she still gave no reaction. It was almost like she just didn't feel pain.

And yet he continued. He was practiced in the old ways, of blood and cutting and pain. If she did not feel it, that was not for him to say to do anything about. After a while he simply looked at her.

"You feel nothing do you? You offer none of your own pain to them?"

"If I felt pain, I would offer it. I do not."
