Let's get you settled (Cassiel) - Panther's Lair

She eased herself down on her butt, letting him have a lap if he wanted. She kept up the scritches, though.

"Hey, I'll take it."

She was thus officially claimed by 13 pounds of tom cat.

"Ye think ye'll like livin' here?"

"I'd like to think so," she said, looking at the tom cat as she petted him. She couldn't give a real answer, though. It was the best she could do at the moment. She only hoped Grace understood.

She nodded.

"Ye'll ne'er be alone. Though ye may be lonely, an' tha' be where family come in. I'll teach ye right quick how t' talk t' th' beasties, so ye can tell 'em if'n ye e'er actually wan' t' be alone."

"I think I've spent enough time alone," she said idly.

She nodded.

"Then this be th' place for ye. An' we all be glad t' ha' ye."

"Thank you, Grace," she said with a nod. "Just... let me know if you need me."

She leaned down to place a kiss on top of her head.

"Aye, I will."

She smiled at Grace, but otherwise was content with the Alpha Tom in her lap.

She sat on the floor and let the cats crawl over her, too.

"I'm not used to them being so friendly," she remarked calmly and gently. "I could never get so close."

She chuckled.

"Me cats nay be normal."

"But do they still like catnip?"

Considering the number of ears that perks up in her direction, they probably did.

"Aye, lass. They be addicted t' th' stuff."

"It's not off limits for them, is it? I have some growing at... at the apartment."

She snorted.

"I keep nothin' fro' me children."

She smiled serenely as she petted the tom cat in her lap. "I've learned it's always best to ask the Mama first. I'll fetch it later this week for them."

She nodded.

"An' until then, there be dried stuff tucked in th' locked cabinet in th' kitchen."

"Duly noted," she nodded.

She chuckled.

"Be there anythin' ye need? I ha' cable, both internet an' television."

"Internet?" He ears perked up.

She chuckled.

"Aye, internet. I barely use't, but me family does. So I ha' it. And cable tv is th' only way t' get th' good nature channels t' laugh at."

"I'm not much of a television watcher. But... you know, internet... That's more my speed. I use it for everything."

She nodded.

"Thought so."

"Hey, I can spend all night on a computer. I usually do."
