Now that we're settled (13) - Warehouse 13

The warehouse had changed so much since the kids had moved in.  The windows were completely closed off, television was available, power was on, and it was warm and safe.  They were settled, had everything they needed, and were happy.

13 showed up to check on the children. He checked on them very often. nightly. In fact he lived under the place. They preferred it that way. He knocked and came in when they let him in.

Carly smiled when he arrived for the night.

"Hey. How was your day?"

He smiled.

"Quick. How are you doing?"

She shrugged and smiled.

"Good. The beans are sprouting."

He raised an eyebrow.

"Your plants? Are they taking root?"

She nodded.

"Yes! We're not going to have to beg as much!"

He nodded.

"what have you planted so far?"

"Beans, carrots, and some lettuce."

He nodded.

"Good, those wont attract much attention. On the roof or in the yard?"

She laughed.

"Roof."

He nodded.

"Good planning. That's a good start. You could plant vines against the walls too. berries. People would think they were wild. There are some wild plants over by the gully."

She laughed.

"Already in the plans. Blackberries would be good."

He smiled at that. Yeah, he was getting better at smiling.

"Sounds like you have plans for everything. Whats next?"

She grabbed his hand and began to pull him down the hall.

"We got the TV set up. And Mario knows how to steal the cable."

He went with her but he frowned.

"How safe is that? They can trace these things, can't they?"

She paused.

"Usually, yeah. But if they catch us they'll just shut it down."

He thought for a moment and then shrugged.

"Okay, just keep safe. So where are you taking me?"

She opened the door to the giant open space that was in every warehouse. In it, they had a huge set up for entertainment. Swings hung from the ceiling, they'd built a slide, and there was even an indoor sand box, as well as a track for the bicycles and running.

He laughed looking at it.

"You all have made it home. No one getting hurt?"

She shook her head.

"No one. And we have a clinic room for just in case."

He looked at her.

"You have set up a room to take care of the sick and hurt? Smart. Do you need supplies?"

She nodded.

"Some. Right now we only have band aids."

He nodded.

"I will get some stuff. Biotene and bandages and alcohol and all that stuff. Maybe I can get some stuff for sicknesses as well. Have to admit, this place looks fantastic. You have outdone yourself. Is everyone adjusting?"

She smiled and leaned against him slightly.

"Yeah, everyone is settling in just fine."
