Let's get you settled (Cassiel) - Panther's Lair

It was a larger house, tri-level, with three bedrooms upstairs and one down.  And more cats that you could shake a fist at, including the big ones.  She led Cass in through the front door.

"This be home."

Cass wasn't sure what she expected... but she didn't expect a house. Oh, God... she didn't know why she didn't expect a house. But.. well, she kept that to herself for the time being.

She smiled at Grace, taking a quick look around, at least on the outside. "How many felines call this place home?" She asked curiously.

She laughed.

"Dinna rightly ken. I think must be a colony o' a hundred or so claimed th' place. But they mostly stick t' th' garden."

She gave a low, soft whistle. "That's a lot," she chuckled. "A lot of friends."

She nodded.

"Aye. An' I'll be teachin' ye t' speak t'em all."

"Good," she grinned. "That way they can tell me when I'm in their way."

She chuckled.

"Ye will be asked t' be a lap quite often."

"That's not something I think I'll mind."

She chuckled.

"Wait til one o' th' cubs asks ye t' groom 'em."

"Do I have to learn how to do that?" She asked, one brow raised. She wasn't sure if that was such a good idea...

She chuckled.

"Means brush 'em."

"Oh!" Oops, she looked mildly embarrassed. "I can do that, of course," Cass smiled.

She chuckled.

"I only e'er lick 'em clean when I be in panther form."

"Well, fair... I guess you have the tongue for it then," she laughed softly.

She nodded.

"Down here in th' basement be ye're room. D' ye care if th' cats come in t' sleep?"

"I don't mind at all," she shook her head. "Might be nice, actually."

She nodded.

"Then jus' be leavin' ye're door open."

"Sure thing," she nodded a little before taking a few steps to take a look at the room and to see how many cats were already in there.

Inside were already about four cats, all on the bed that was there.

"Hey, guys," she said to them softly. She put her bag down just inside the door as to not disturb them further.

They looked up, and one yawned hugely before getting up, stretching, and coming over to investigate Cass and her bag. He was a big black Tom cat.

She crouched down a little, holding her hands still and out for him to sniff. The bag smelled of ozone and electronic parts and laundry detergent. Cass smelled of cinnamon and soot.

She smiled as she watched the Tom cat come forward, then rub his head along the Toreador's hand. She was claimed.

"He be th' boss cat."

She chuckled softly, going a little bold and trying to scritch the cat behind the ears. "A very beautiful creature, he is."

The cat welcomed the scritches as if they were his due, and began to purr.

"Aye, he is. An' he seems t' like ye."
