She blew a raspberry.

"They write new books all the time."

"Yup" he grinned. "Just not sure where we'd put a whole library"

She bit her lip.

Chet squeezed her close and nibbled at Bethy's nose

"Nothin' ta be sorry for love. Yer enthusiasm makes me happy inside. Yano, you can fit a whole library on one of them new fangled tablet computers. Thousands and thousands of books on a little chip"

She beamed.

"You're right!"

That earned her a poke in the belly and another kiss "An' Chet can read to ya ever night from 'em."

"Gonna ask Miss Alexandria to come by some night with her giant cat, an' we read out of Dickens when she does."

She squealed and clapped.

"Yes! Masha misses Loki."

"Ya wanna call her up tomorrow mornin' an' ask her ta come visit iffun she be inclined?"

She nodded.

"Yeah. And might do thanksgiving dinner."

"Bethy has a smarts. Good idea."

She grinned.

"Ghouls night in. It'll be great."

"Sounds like it love" he chuckled

She grinned.

"I would cook!"

"Want me ta' hunt a gator fer yah then?"

She frowned.

"Yes, but also want Turkey."

"Ah getcha the bestest turkey ah can find. An' all the trimmin's."

She clapped her hands.

"We'll have a feast!"

He grinned at her enthusiasm. "Yup. That we will. Ya like mincemeat pie?"

She wrinkled her nose.

"No."

"Punkin', or apple?" he chuckled

She grinned.

"Pumpkin, pecan, and apple."

"Ah miss pecan pie" he grinned

"Make 'em all fer mah Bethy though"

She kissed his neck lightly.
