I brought more ink - Michelle and Emily's Home

"Next week would be wonderful, on all accounts." she said with a smile. If they met up next week, that meant she was still alive!

"I should spend the week setting up the shelter, anyways. I told the real estate agent I would call him back the next evening... and here it is, a week later." she laughed a bit, shaking her head. "I guess being staked... does funny things for drive and memory."

"I uhm, wouldn't know" the blond said as she finished wiping away the excess ink and looking over the images one more time before nodding her head. The blond? Had never been staked and would much prefer it if she didn't ever have to feel it.
"Have a look, tell me what you think?"

"Amazing work, as always, Teddy." she said cheerfully. She had only glanced down, as she said that.. because really.. she trust the work the girl did, and had been watching as it was being done, anyways. She did wiggle her toes a little bitch, watching the rats on her feet appear to move a little bit. It caused her to laugh.

"Glad you like it" really glad, of course she was, she was always happy when she'd managed to do something someone else liked and appreciated. "And I hope you'll be as happy with them a night from now a year from now, as you are right now" since, you know, tattoos... even if Teddy's version of it was a bit special.

"I will love them, a thousand years from now. I can promise you that." she said with a bright smile.

There was that look in her eyes again... the one that said...'i am going to pounce you... again'

That was quite alright, she'd half way expected it this time, which was why she'd already moved the ink and brushes aside so nothing could get broken or spilled.
"I aim to please" she giggled and held her arms out.

With everything sorted and out of the way, the woman lunged into the arms of the other, wrapping her up in a big and tight hug. Not painfully so, but there was definite pressure in it. Her cheek rested against the other woman's for a moment, before head came down to her shoulder. "Thank you... for all of this..."she sighed happily.

"You're welcome..." the blond smiled as she returned the hug gently, seemingly not minding getting hugged. She was the hugging type anyways, so it felt natural to her really. "Happy to help"

Michelle soon released the soft and warm woman, sliding arms away and taking a step back. She turned this way and that, again observing the tattoos that had been finished. After another round of observations was done, she looked up to the woman, straight into the eyes, and smiled. "So... next week?" She said, cheerfully.

"Next week" the Caitiff smiled brightly as she bit her lip and nodded her head. "It'll be fun!" it would be, even if the Lasombra might regret letting her drive her car. Burning rubber was fun after all.

"I'll give you a call, sounds good?" she asked as she worked to clean up the brushes and the ink, gathering her equipment and carefully placing it all back in the small leather suitcase. Jut as before, she was methodical despite usually being somewhat of a scatterbrain, only went to prove that even artists could work semi professionally!

She nodded. "Sounds wonderful." she said, without a hint of falsehood to her tone. She really did like the girl, and that had nothing to do with the work she had done for her. It had simply been an avenue to get to know the girl better. Sure, it was work she wanted done .. but she seemed to be getting a whole lot more out of it, other than some art. Something much more valuable. Granted, she couldnt help but feel the other woman was a bit guarded... but hey, Rome wasnt built in a day.

She moved to the fluffy towel that she had on, before, and picked it up, wrapping it up in her arms.

Truth was though that she wasn't really guarded. If asked anything chances were she'd answer. And she had agreed to do the tattoos without really asking for much in return other than the woman's trust in what she was doing. Given, that was kind of asking a lot, but the end result was good wasn't it?
And for what it's worth, the blond's smile was genuine, her happiness over Michelle's appreciation of the work likewise. That and she liked meeting new people. Specially the type who didn't instantly chuck her into the Caitiff category of useless or disposable, that actually meant something to her.

"And Ill try getting a hold of Cassie and see if she wouldn't be up for sharing a bit of her driving skills" Teddy chuckled. "She needs a break from things and driving always seems to do the trick"

She nodded vigorously. "I hope she is interested. It sounds like it would be a fun time indeed."

She grinned wickedly.

"Oh, I'll let you know as soon as I know!" which, well, she wasn't sure when that would be considering Cass' current situation, but she'd hopefully know soon enough.

Michelle simply nodded again, smiling brightly still. "If ever, whenever." Spoken simply and casually. "Just because our next meet is a week away, know that if you need me for anything at all... anything... just let me know. My phone and door and home are always open to you."

"And if you need to get a hold of me you need only call, or drop by the office or the workshop" came the quick and smiling reply. "I'm usually at one place or the other unless I'm with Medwyn at home. I always got time for friends coming by to say hi"

SHe blinked. "Oh.. before you go...." she looked kind of shy for a moment. Nervous. "The toy that I want to commission from you. I was wondering... would you be able to make something like Deigo...except different?" She slowly looked up. "An angel, of sorts?"

Oh, that...
"I can't make something that will act like Diego does.." she said softly. "I'm sorry.. but I could make a toy that acted like something else, or one which will follow a set of commands that would make it play or cuddle or well, just about anything. But I can't recreate Diego..." it was... complicated. "I could make an angel though. I could make one that can dance for her?" she said, sounding somewhat hopeful that that would count for something.

She smiled brightly. "That wounds just lovely. Would it be possible for it to want hugs, too?" SHe really didnt know how it all worked. Might as well reach for the stars.

"Yeah" she said softly. "I can do that" Teddy smiled gently. The little girl deserved as much even if she wouldn't be able to get her angel right away.

Michelle blinked once... then blnked again... she smiled sadly, and turned her head away, hands coming up to her face, wiping a little bit at her eyes. Taking a moment to compose herself. This was WAY out of character, for her... not that Teddy exactly knew her character, fully.

Maybe it was out of character, maybe it was not. Teddy couldn't say for sure, but she did the one thing that felt natural to her, and moved to gently wrap her arms around the other woman with a soft smile.
"It will be alright..."

As the girl moved up, and placed her arms around the cold Lasombra, it gave her a viewpoint of what Michelle was trying to hide. Tears. But there was something... off, about them. Kindred tears were crimson.. always red, with the blood that leaked from them. The only time they ever looked different, was in the moonlight, when blood took on a black shine to it.

But there was no moonlight. The room was fairly well lit, and the tears upon her face... we black. Pure black. Her hands were smeared in it, and she quickly wiped them off on her black shirt, pulling the shirt up a bit, to finish clearing her face. She spoke in a near whisper.."Sorry.. I dont know what came over me..."

Black as ink... Lasombra's commanded the shadows, but did that darkness affect everything about them? Event heir blood? The Caitiff didn't care if any got on her clothes, though she couldn't help but wonder when it was something shed never seen before.

"It's okay, you don't have to apologize for having emotions you know?" she offered softly, picking up an unused towel and offering it to her. "Are... are you alright?"

She took the towel with a weak smile, finishing up wiping her hands off and her face. Yes, it smeared black upon the white fabric. "Yeah... I am alright.. just a momentary crack, I suppose." she seemed ashamed, for some reason, as her eyes could not meet Teddy's. "Emotions are a great weakness, and while I have been exposing myself to such things more and more recently, I cannot afford weaknesses, at the moment. Too much is at stake."Thank you, Teddy.. for the art.. for the toy.. for your friendship. I will never forget it. NO matter what."
