Rachel stayed by the door, keeping alert as she watches Rai with the Professor.

She threw her phone to Rachel.

"Hit redial. Tell the woman who answers what's going on here. I'm going to try to help this poor guy."

Thank God for Fortitude. She dodged books to reach for him.

"Professor, I'm going to try and get you out of here. At least, out of the line of fire."

Because... why not? She was nice to most people.

Rachel grabbed the phone, hit redial and waited for someone to answer.

The Prof had no reaction to the Tremere other than to cringe away. He'd lost all sense of what was real and what wasn't.

Julie picked up the phone after the first ring.

"Yes?"

"Hello, I am to tell you the gentleman in curled in the corner, seeming to be in hysterics with books flying around the room." Rachel replied to the caller calmly.

That didn't stop her from (trying) to wrap herself around him, to keep him from being hit or harmed by the flying books.

"Tell her a little help would be greatly freaking appreciated."

Julie swore.

"I can't. Can't do a damn thing. I've tried to get on campus. It doesn't work. She's on her own."

As soon as Griselda had interposed herself between the man and the books, they stopped flying.

"She can't help." Rachel says to Rai as the books start to fall instead of flying. "I'll call you back when we know more." with a nod to Rai.

She crouched before the professor, her face concerned.

"Professor? What happened?"

He had wild eyes when he looked at her.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Griselda McKenzie. I know Julie."

She didn't say that Julie was her friend -- that would be lying.

"Julie? Julie knows something like you? Why isn't Julie here?"

Stop panicking, I know I'm dead. Gah, mages.

"My phone doesn't work."

"She's right. My phone works. Can you tell me what happened here?"

"Okay. Come on and lets get you out of here, if we can. Something, I think, went very wrong here."

"It will follow me. I am what's wrong with this place. Wherever you take me, I'll take this with me. Best to just leave me here."
