karaoke and good times - The Den

He laughed. "I don't croon. I wail."

Greer chuckled at his statement and handed him the book to pick his song.

He took the book and started flipping through it. "We got a theme for tha evening?"

"I hadn't picked one, do you wish one?" with a glance at him and a smile then looking to Cass "Cass pick a theme."

Ooh... That caught the Toreador off guard... She blinked and then blurted out, "Drinking songs..."

Just for Jamie.

Greer grinned "Good choice!" as she started looking through her song book with glee.

He nodded and wrote down a song. "I got just tha one."

He stared at Cass.

"No one wants t' hear me sing, lass. Truly."

Because God, did he sound terrible.

She grinned at Jamie.

"You're not gonna sing? You won't even get up and sing a song with me?"

Greer smiles and bounds up to the "DJ" and hands in her request. She then with a devious smile looks back at the table, looks to Jim and then waits to be called up.

He looked at Cass and sighed.

"Aye, I'll sing wi' ye. Just don't blame me if your ears bleed."

"You haven't made my ears bleed yet. At least I've heard you sing," she laughed, beaming at Jamie. "I don't think you're in for much of a treat."

Cass gave a grin to Jim and Greer.

He blinked.

"Was I drunk?"

"Nope," she chuckled. "You were trying to make me smile, though. The alcohol came later."

Greer grinned at Cass, then heard her name and moving up to sing with a most impish smile. As the song cued up she did her version of the song.

Then hopped down with a big grin, looking at the table, but her eyes were on Jim.

*(9:30:43 AM) "Song"(WOD Result: 11) pulled to a 4 for masquerade.

He clapped for Greer, laughing quietly.

"I can't compete wi' that."

He was her biggest fan, clapping and yelling for her by the time she finished.

Cass was whistling and clapping for her friend with a shit eating grin.

Greer dived for Jim's arms, with a kiss and a big grin "Your turn babe." then sat on his lap and took a drink of her Purple Meanie.

He laughed and winked at Jamie and Cass. "Can't disappoint tha lady." And headed for the stage.

Greer cheered him as he headed to the stage, his biggest fan was present as well it seemed.

He was looking more and more and more nervous by the minute. But he clapped for his clanmate anyway.

The Toreador hooted and hollered and clapped for Jim, just as she had done for Greer. She seemed to at least be enjoying herself.

Cass went through the book and picked a song-- something both she and Jamie could pull off with lack of tone, where the words could all run together and yet still belt the chorus. With a grin and a giggle, she pointed to the selection and showed His Majesty.

When he reached the stage, he started to sing for the gathered. But he wasn't just singing. He was working the crowd, too. Until they were singing the chorus with him.

Greer was up cheering him on, his biggest fan and leading the chorus making sure she pulled her voice too so they were with in "proper" range.
