She chuckled.

"I was completely focused on getting to you."

"Focus is good. We're going to need it."

She looked up at him.

"Yes. And I will destroy her life. As she did mine."

"You need not act alone, my soul. I will aid you. And, if this harridan is all she seems to be, I wager we will have other allies as well."

She nodded.

"Yes. Our Sheriff has her own issues with that creature. And there are others. There have to be others. She may believe she was loved, but those from Seattle....most will hate her for some reason or another."

"Then it's only a question of time, and opportunity. Even if His Majesty wishes to keep her Acknowledged in this domain, there are myriad ways to destroy her without violating the law."

She leaned back into his chest, nuzzling close.
