He suddenly stopped her. "Well done." he said. "Come here." he gestured.

He wrapped his arms around her, and caressed her hair from her face. "So. Whatever shall I do with you now, hmmm?"

She smiled at him. She shook more hair out of her eyes when she answered him quietly.

"Whatever you would like to do. That was the agreement, was it not?"

He began caressing her cheek. "I want you to tell me about yourself. About how life took you to this point."

Her brows lifted.

"In what way? There's a lot of life that you're talking about. Three centuries' worth."

His fingertips traced down her neck to her breast. "Start with the exciting parts." he grinned.

She made a soft purring sound when his finger trailed over her, then she smiled at him.

"Depends on your definition of 'exciting.'" She continued to smile. "I'm not being obtuse. I just need to know what it is that you want to know about me."

His eyes focused on hers. "Tell me a story about how you became what you are." he said.

She smiled.

"When I was a teenager, and back when I could still breathe, my family was one of druids. We could do magic, though it was really quite simple, in comparison. I had to argue with my family when I was accepted to University ... back in those days, it was very rare for a female to be accepted, and even more rare for those accepted to go. But, I went. It was my first time away from home."

She paused for another smile. "My sister had made me promise to keep to the old ways while I was gone. I made that promise. One night in March, I went to go and perform a ceremony for my sister, since I had made the promise to her. I had to sneak away ... witchcraft was very bad in those days. But as I went there, and set about the ritual, I realized I wasn't alone."

She shrugged. "He came from the darkness into the clearing. He had been watching me, he said. He had seen what I could do, he had told me. I ran away, into the woods. But he caught me, brought me back with him. I spent the next two years locked in a stone room with nothing but a bed and a desk, while being taught what it was to be a Tremere."

She shrugged again. "He let me out only once during that two years. He let me out to be there, to see my sister die. She had been tried and accused of witchcraft, I was told. I wasn't allowed to see her before she was killed, but I stood there, with her children in my arms and her husband on one side with a Tremere on the other, as I watched my sister being burned alive."

She looked up at him and frowned. "Is that what you wanted to know?"

She tilted her head, then smiled at him again.

"Sorry. The majority of my life has not been one that makes good pillow talk."

"Indeed. But I did ask." he caressed down her side again. "So. Would I learn more of what you truly are from using whips and floggers on your body?"

She blinked, then looked thoughtful.

"I don't know. Nobody's ever tried that, I don't think."

He nodded. "Tell me about what Joseph did to you."

Now, she thoroughly frowned.

"Why would you want to hear about something like ... " She just sighed, shaking her head.

"You want to know about things that Joseph did to me. Because he did many, many things. But if you want an example, I can give you one." She closed her eyes, and it was almost in a monotone that she spoke.

"He had gone out feeding. I don't even remember when this was, exactly. But he had gone out feeding. I happened to see his car while I was out, and he and I had made plans to go to the beach. He was being hunted, at that time, by Assamites. So I went to the beach, and waited for him. I saw him. I saw what he did to that girl."

She shook her head, and shuddered. "She was in pieces. And when he joined me, he was ranting. Ranting and raving about how that bitch ruined his suit, getting blood and the like all over it. He was so angry about that, his suit being ruined. Then, of course, it was my fault. My fault that she had ruined his suit. Somehow, my fault."

She blew out a breath. "This, of course, wouldn't do. He dragged me back to the house, threw me against the wall. That was the first time he decided he wanted to try fisting. I had no warning at all. As you can imagine, I was less than impressed by this, but no matter what I did or said, I couldn't stop him."

She growled softly and rolled her shoulders. "Is that the kind of thing you wish to know?"

He was frowning. "I want to learn more about you. Not hurt you."

She shrugged.

"In most cases, anything you wish to know is likely going to be painful."

"Then I will not interrogate. I will let you tell me who and what you are."

She laughed.

"Sweetie, I'm just a woman who happens to have a liquid diet. I'm more than happy to share anything about me that you wish to know with you. I don't shy away from things that are painful. They are what they are."

He smirked. "Do you take any pleasure in it? Physical pain?"

She shrugged again.

"I never have. But then, usually if I'm in physical pain, someone's trying to punish me for ruining their suit or trying to kill me."

"So does it bother you? The idea of my using you like that?"
