She chuckled and made a mental note.

"Go ahead and ask."

"I feel guilty" he sighed "I mean taking her out of a productive and happy life and forcing her into servitude with me. It's not even like with you, where somebody rescued you. I took a Harvard Law graduate for crying out loud. Wealthy, attractive, successful, and made her my property without even so much as a how do you do. It... irks me."

She nodded.

"I get that. I do. What do you need from me?"

He sighed "Tell me I didn't do anything wrong? Or if I did, tell me how the hell to live with myself? I mean... you were a ghoul once. How... is it?"

She stroked his hair.

"Don't worry too hard about it. You treat her with respect, don't abuse her overly much. Give her affection, and she will adore you forever. She will never feel put out. She will never resent you, as long as you treat her right."

He smiled "But the fact remains, I stole her freedom from her. Is eternal life, and the strengths that come with being a ghoul, and someday being embraced justification for stealing her?"

She smiled and kissed him.

"Because you ask those questions of yourself, yes. But only she can actually answer those questions."

"Can she?" he said "Truly? With the blood bond, can she answer those questions?"

She nodded.

"She can. If I ask them."

"Could you please?" he said almost hopefully. Yeah, this was gnawing at his soul just a wee bit.

She nods.

"And if she answers that it's not worth it? What then?"

He sighed "Do I have the right to destroy her then, anymore than I do to have stolen her? Maybe I better not know... I suppose it is part of the evil that comes with our existence."

She cuddled him.

"The bond can be broken. And she can be made to forget."

"Is it wrong " he said holding her gently "that i don't wish to lose her ?"

Her hands stroked his back reassuringly.

"No, it's not. She's a wonderful woman."

"I make a terrible vampire " he laughed "and I'm told a worse anarch. But I'm going to make sure she freely steps into whichever sect she wants. I think she will make a powerful cammie someday. "

She smiled and kissed him again.

"And that is why you make the best of Masters."

"And you make the best of people to snuggle up to "

She smiled and scratched her nails down his back again.

"I'm the best."

He shivered as her nails drug down his back. "Yes, yes you are "

She licked her upper lip then bit her lower one at his reaction, scratching him again. Drawing out the sensation.

He moaned happily

"What do you like?"

The words were a soft whisper, under the music.

"You in my arms"

She nibbled at his bare shoulder.

"Is that all?"
