He nodded and nuzzled her back. "Raz0r... whatever you've done, you have to move on. There is no atonement in our world, and we can never punish ourselves for our sins. We must instead strive to never repeat them and hold on to what separates us from the beast within us. That is the best we can do. Why do you think I work so hard to support producers and create industry and capital myself?"

She smiled.

"I know. And it's only in those rare moments I let myself be like that, that I feel the need to atone."

He closed his eyes and nodded. "Do you do this often?"

She shook her head.

"This is first time in years."

He nodded and pulled her close. "Good. "

She curled into him.

"You really are a softy, aren't you?"

"I have exploded steamships full of innocent men, burned trains full of goods consigned to those who have not harmed me, dynamited a church full of lupines, sealed wells, destroyed businesses, and turned my back on the suffering of orphans. Raz0r, I am a right bastard when I have to be. But I cannot abide to see those I care for to suffer."

She nodded.

"We make a right pair. But I can be the Sadist if it calls for it. And sometimes it does."

He smiled. "I was taken by surprise mostly. '

She chuckled.

"That's me. Full of surprises."

"Let's keep them less disturbing eh ?"

She nuzzled his throat, then kissed his chin.

"I'll try."

"That's my Raz0r' he said softly

She smiled.

"So. What do you think you can do?"

"What do you mean oh cuddly one ?"

She looked up at him with a grin.

"If you don't want me to punish myself, you're going to have to do it."

He looked at her sadly, and buried the dagget in her gut while slowly slicing upward

She grunted, grabbing his wrist and stopping.

"Didn't mean now. Not if it bothers you so much. Baby steps."

"Baby steps" he smiled. "If you need it, I'll learn "

She pulled the knife from her stomach and licked it clean.

"This is a bit extreme. We'll leave knives for later."

"Good idea "

She slipped the knife back into the sheath in his boot.

"For tonight, you're shaken up. Just hold me. I don't need it now."

He curled up into the little Nosferatu and smiled. "My sweet kitten"

She snuggled.

"I will never make you do anything you don't want to do."

His reply was to nip at her nose and hold her tight with a contented sigh.
