Watching the Waves (Teddy) - Bathtub Beach

Cuddles! He liked to cuddle. He lay next to her, his arm coming up to go around the Caitiff. He couldn't stay, they both knew that, but he could stay for a little while. He just hoped it wasn't his turn with something at the house, that he wasn't forgetting something or shirking his duties. As good as she felt, that was one thing he would be upset with himself for. Thankfully, though, he was able to push the thoughts from his mind so that he could give her a smile, gentle kisses, and more sweet cuddles.

The soft touches, the light caress of gentle hands and soft lips, would linger for as long as he stayed with her. The Caitiff just wanting to be close to him for as long as possible. Sharing his warmth, tasting his lips, touching him... She felt no real need for words, just having him there was enough to keep her smiling.

He knew that time would be short. He knew that, once day came, he would need to go to his own home, to sleep in his own bed. To keep watch over the Kindred there, and sleep when he could. To keep the little one entertained. But for the moment, he wanted her. He wanted Teddy. The touch of her, the scent, the feel of her against him. Part of him worried that she was a dream. That he would open his eyes and find that he was in his own bed, that the night had been nothing more than a product of his own fantasy. But for now, she felt real enough. His touches and caresses continued, so that he could hold on to her for just a little longer.

Just a little longer.

"Thank you..."
The words passed her lips in a low whisper as she smiled at him with heavy eyes, feeling the tug of day already threatening to pull her off to sleep. Her caress was still gentle though, soft and slow as her fingers traced across his cheek and the side of his neck, her expression one of content peace as she gazed up at him.

So sleepy...
And so.. happy...

"Thank you, Medwyn..." she repeated softly, having trouble keeping her eyes open and knowing she wouldn't be moving an inch from where she was once he left. But it didn't matter, she just wanted to enjoy his presence there for as long as she could, before he had to go.

It felt so good to smile like that. To have a reason to smile like that... and he was such a good reason to be smiling.

He smiled at her. "You're welcome, Teddy," he whispered quietly. His hands didn't stop their gentle caresses, though. He was tired, too, but he would be able to fend off the tired in his body, be able to stay awake for a while yet. He didn't like that he would need to leave her. But he understood why he would need to go, and as such, he was determined to enjoy her. The feel of her, the scent of her, lying there in his arms. He smiled, just giving in and giving her the gentle nuzzles against her hand, nuzzling against her shoulders. "I should be thanking you..."

She let her eyes slowly drift shut, just moving herself gently against him, to feel his touch and his caress as she muttered his name sleepily under her breath.

He might be able to fend off sleep. But it was hard to do when you were Kindred and day was coming.
So while her caress lingered, it would eventually fade as day would, in the end, win, despite her best efforts to stay awake. Leaving her still and quiet in his arms, nuzzled in close and with a softly lingering smile across her lips.

He knew that sleep was different for Kindred. It wasn't the same sleep of a mortal, where any movement could wake them, especially if someone moved too quickly or too soon. He knew that. But he still waited for at least fifteen minutes before he moved, before he slipped out of her arms. He knew he wanted a shower, to get the sand off of him. But he wanted to keep feeling her in his arms more, though he knew it meant that he would be tired when he woke the next day. Long past when he would normally sleep, but he didn't want to let go of her.

When at least fifteen minutes -- maybe more -- had passed, he started to slowly slip out of her arms. But before he left? He wrote her a note.

It was a wonderful evening last night. I look forward to seeing you again, soon.

It was a simple thing. But she seemed so worried that he wouldn't want anything to do with her afterward, that he wanted to leave her something so that she could know differently. It was placed on the pillow that he had used, resting gently under one of her hands. He smiled, brushing hair away from her face and leaning close to kiss her temple before he turned and slipped out of the door, heading quickly home.
