The cat's out of the bag (Ren/Raz0r) - Marcus' Hole in the Wall

His hands shake as he looks up at Rai. "He's here. Real fast, just like I told you"


"I'm so sorry for what I said the other night Brody. I miss you so much and sometimes, it just becomes too much for me"

He hits enter, trembling visibly as he focuses on the screen once more.

Her hand came down to rest against his shoulder. A comforting gesture, that was. She was watching the screen intently, watching the words scroll.

"You did. You're doing fine, Marcus."

Marcus lifts a hand to his eyes, squeezing them shut as though not wanting to see what was on the screen. "Sheriff. I'm going to count on you to stop me from typing anything to warn him of what you are doing." He says quietly, his tone almost pleading.

He takes a deep, unneeded breath "Tell me what you want me to say..."

He flashes a beautiful smile at the monitor, as though Brody could see him through the screen, already typing his reponse.

"Just been a long day Brody. Although it makes me feel so much better now that you have forgiven me. This is so hard right now, living this life. When will I see you again"

Enter.

She kept her hand against his shoulder. She spoke gently, because she likely knew how hard this was going to be for him.

"You're doing great, Marcus. Really great. Just tell him that you hope to hear from him soon, that you just wanted to apologize, and then walk away from the computer."

Rai's phone went off with a picture message. Oh look, pictures and an address. Isn't she handy?

But Raz0r stayed slumped on the bed. Seems she was planning on being "back up."

She looked at her phone and smiled. Then she glanced at Raz0r.

"I'll take care of this tomorrow night. And if any of you tell you-know-who where I'm going, I might kick your asses. Got it?"

A ghost of a smile touches his lips as he looks up at Rai "Voldermort? Yeah, I'll keep it on the DL from him. Promise" however the smile fades seconds later as the recenters his attention on the screen. "So should I just walk away and leave the program going? Or when I appologize, and walk away, you want me to close everything down.?

His fingers remain poised over the keyboard as he looks up again at the inhumanly beautiful woman, digits trembling.

She laughed softly and shook her head.

"Whatever you normally do, Marcus. There's nothing wrong, no one's in any trouble. Just do what you would normally do. Just... don't tell him that we know where he is, okay?"

He blinks, looking back at the computer "You already know where he is?" came the surprised response. "Were you two monitoring me before I came to yall?" He asks, glancing back at Raz0r again.


"I don't have time to do much right now. I have to go meet with the Sheriff here shortly, but I just wanted to know that I loved you, and to tell you I was sorry about the other night."

Enter

She shook her head as she rested her hand on his shoulder again.

"No. I'm just that good. Don't worry, Marcus. He'll be fine."

She came out of her trance with a smile.

"Message received, computer dead."

She pulled a blue ribbon from her pocket and handed it to Marcus.

"Tie that around your neck and pack up. You're moving in with me now."

Quiet Brujah maintained her watch. Though she did glance at Rai, the look asked 'can I come too?'

He looks at the blue cord curiously as he takes it from Raz0r, but ties the cord as instructed. Without another word, he raises from the chair and begins moving around the room. By the looks of it, this was a practiced exercise as everything happens in an efficent way.

He grabs a large seamans bag, moving to the map. He regards it carefully for a few seconds, as though memorizing it then pulls it from the wall and rolls it up. Setting that to the side for later, he moves to the table and begins choosing various components, disks, and tools. These get shoved into the pack and he nods "Ren" he says continuing to move rapidly around the room "I was going to drop that off to you at the Elysium, but I have a present for you under the bed" With that said, he hustles over to the bookshelf, picking out several thick tombs as well as a thomas guide for the state and those too, go into the bag.

Finally, he moves to the computer itself and in record time, has the side open and the harddrive removed "Just in case anyone wants to know exactly what I've told them..." he says quietly, staring hard at the metal piece of hardware.

She shook her head. If all things went well, she'd be back under three minutes. If they didn't, she was going to need someone that she trusted here, that she could come back to. She nodded as she mostly just stayed out of his way.

"Okay. This is going to get hairy. I'll be back tomorrow, and then Marcus, I'll need you for a full night. Raz0r, Ren, I'd like the two of you to be there when I do this. To verify that it's done as well as someone who can hold his hand when it's said and done. It really isn't pleasant."

For either of them, but she didn't want anyone to worry about it.

"I'll be here." Somehow she managed to stay out of the way of the flurry of packing.

She nodded as all he took from the computer was the hard drive.

"I'll have bigger and better toys for you later. Now, let's get you home. And in two days, I'll be there to help you through this. And we'll call that your rebirth as Mine."

She nodded.

"All right. I'm off to New York."

They saw her face shimmer. Kind-of. After a moment, her face was the mirror-image of the one Marcus wore, bald head and all. And then... she vanished. Just vanished.

He takes a final look around the Sabbat safe house, scooping up the lamenated map and steps back to the door. He doesn't make any moves to leave, but he is clearly distancing himself from the room emotionally. This had been his home for a long time, and he really, really felt naked outside of it.

As Rai's mask changes, Marcus looks startled for a moment, understanding dawning in his eyes instantly. New York. And she looked like me. Which means that she would get to see him. And he wouldn't. He turns away, gritting his teeth as frustration eats away at his resolve...

As soon as Rai was gone, Raz0r moved to hold Marcus in her arms.

"Everything will be okay. Brody won't be harmed. And if any of your feelings for him are real, they will still exist after we're done. I promise."

He nods sullenly "I just want to see him....and there Rai goes, doing exactly that. I know shes doing it for me, and I'm grateful. I really am. But Krath Damn it...I just want to see him." His hands flex into a fist, frustration evident in his features.

She nods as she holds him.

"I understand. But if you were to see him, so much could go wrong."

And as quickly as she had left, she reappeared in the room where she had just vanished from. Two minutes, tops.

She held a bottle in gloved hands, making sure that no one could touch it but herself as she headed for the door.

"I'll see you again in a few days, Marcus."
