The cat's out of the bag (Ren/Raz0r) - Marcus' Hole in the Wall

The tension that had been coiled up within his body releases some and Marcus breaths a sigh of relief. He is silent for a time, before speaking again "And what about -them-" he asks quietly, nodding towards the computer to further clarify his question. "They are gonna come after me, and if Brody is with them...I won't be able to say no" He frowns "But why. I don't understand why I feel like this. He helped me and saved me, so I owe him my life, but why do I feel like this..." The question was spoken with feel of someone who has asked himself that question thousands of times, and like before, he had no answers.

She sighed.

"Did he ever feed you his blood?"

Marcus shrugs uncertainly "Not while I was awake, but you know as well as I do how taxing the change can be for us Raz0r." he frowns suddenly "Why? What's the importance of him feeding me his blood?"

She smiles.

"With the blood comes a bond. A supernatural love that binds closer than anything. It's what's been keeping you from speaking against him. It's likely what keeps you loving him. But I can't know that for certain."

She nodded, it was her guess as well.

"It's not...real?" he asks skeptically "But it feels real. It feels deeper then anything I've ever experienced before in my life. And I'm not some pimply little teenage girl, sighing wistfully at a tattered romance novel thinking those fabricated stories have any basis in real life" He frowns, looking down at the ground "Why would someone enslave another person like that...?" Hard questions, with equally hard answers.

"Because we're monsters. You look at Ren and I and see that we're good people. But deep down, all of us are monsters. We are what goes bump in the night. And some who embrace that enslave others to their will because it's the easiest way to ensure loyalty."

He mulls that over for awhile "I may have a monster in me, but I control it...not the other way around" he says firmly, sighing a moment later "But I see your point. Fine. So he bloodbound me. What do I do now?" He asks, looking between the two. Releasing his hold on Ren, he reaches up absently to scrap at some of the dried blood streaking his face "Will I feel like this forever? Cause I don't know if I could handle that..."

She smiled and touched his cheek.

"Good. You always keep in control. And as for the bond...we have options."

She looked to Ren.

"Make the call."

He eyes Ren hesitantly, looking back towards Raz0r for a moment before returning his blue eyes back to Ren and nodding firmly again. He doesn't say anything else, but really, everything's already been said. Almost subconciously, he looks at the computer, a flash of remorse filling his features before smoothing away while he continues to absently scratch at the blood caking his skin.

With a reassuring smile she stepped out of the room, giving the a few minutes of relative privacy as she made the call.

Marcus sits back against the wall, a relieved expression on his face "I hated lying to people Raz0r. That's not the person I am. But there is something I need to ask you. It's about Marcus Jaint." He chews his lower lip worriedly "Jerimiah a nos from New York. He had a ghoul from what I hear named Marcus Jaint, who was in line to become a vampire. Is there anyway we can find out what happened to him? Brody said he took care of him and that Marcus was overjoyed to allow me to assume his identity for as long as I needed." His brow furrows "I'm sure that Brody didn't hurt him. It's not really in Brodys nature to hurt people....but....is there anyway we can find out how he's doing? Brody said he gave Marcus something close to a million dollars or something like that to just disappear for awhile."

She sighed.

"I'll do my best. But I can't make any promises."

He nods slowly "I understand. I don't even know if I should go by that name anymore." he says quietly, looking towards the laminated map of the ciy that dominates a majority of the wall directly across from him.

She smiled.

"What name were you born with?"

He frowns, keeping quiet for a few minutes, simply staring at the map. Finally, he speak in almost a whispered tone "Rachel. Rachel Wright"

She nods.

"Yeah, that name doesn't really fit anymore. Want to name yourself?"

"Marcus seems as much a part of me as anything else really, and everyone in the city knows me by that. If it's all the same, and assuming we can't find the real Marcus anywhere, would it be alright if I just kept that name?" he asks, peering over at Raz0r

She nods.

"Yeah, you can keep the name."

Exactly ten seconds after the phone call was over, there was a knock at the door.

Marcus tenses up immediately. Ren would have just come back inside, not knocked. He takes a deep breath, rising from the bed and walks to the door. CLosing his eyes and willing his mask to a normal state, he opens the door slowly and steps back, allowing whoever it was that knocked to enter.

She stands and watches Marcus move. She still seems very worried.

She glanced around the room first, then she wore a smile as she stepped inside.

"Hi! I was told that I'm needed here?"

At least she was cheerful?

She nodded.

"What would it take to break a blood bond?"

At the sight of the breathtaking woman, his jaw drops and he takes a step back involuntarily allowing his gaze to sweep over her. Not in a sexual way, but more in just an awe-struck way. "Uhhh" he says, clearly at a loss for words. He looks back at Raz0r a second later, literally having to tear his eyes away from the supernaturally beautiful woman. "My story to tell?" he asks, chewing on his lower lip again.

Once Raz0r speaks though, he nods, returning his attention back to Ra'idah
