More Happenings (Greer, Alex, Cassiel) - The Den

Cass merely took her hand off of the door and slid out of the way, also keeping her tongue.

"Sure. Any idea who or what he is? And he's the one guy I don't know that I'll be able to keep out. I can claw him... but keep out is iffy, since he just kinda... appeared."

"That's what I'm about ta go an' find out. If I can. He's promised ta leave tha girls alone for tha time bein', but somethin' ... ain't quite right. I'll let ya know when I've got some answers."

"Fair enough. I'll do what I can." Alex turned and put his arm back around Cass, no longer the bristling animal ready to kill something.

He leaned over to give Greer a kiss. "Don't worry. I'll be back in a little bit. You take care, all right?"

Cass turned tiredly toward Alex and simply curled into him.

Alex led Cass to the sofa and took a seat, allowing her to stay cuddled into him.

He closed the door behind him as he took off at a jog toward his Jeep. And got into it to drive away to his meeting.



(Exiting scene)

"How long do you think before we can go home?" Cass asked softly, the question directed to both Alex and Greer, really. She curled up into a small little ball, closing her eyes to rest as she spoke.

Greer looked at them on the couch, and sighed "Sorry Cassie I had no clue anyone was eavesdropping on our talk to the sea." laying down and being puppy piled on.

"Why don't you stay with me for a bit. The land lord I don't think will mind and at least if creepy guys are going to drop by we'll be there together." with a mirthless laugh.

"You needn't apologize," she said softly through one half opened eye. "You didn't cause anything to happen. If this thing hadn't overheard us at the beach, it would have overheard me in my home or any where else."

Fidget, fidget.

"I really don't want to be an imposition on anyone..."

Alex gently caressed Cass' hair, "You couldn't impose on me, Cass. Not really possible unless you add pink to my house."

"You won't be and at this point if we're going to have a shared stalker...." half making an ewww sounds as the dog licked her on the lips.

Cass grimaced and wrinkled her nose. "What a ghastly color. Blech."

House... house... fuuuuuuuuuu....

Cass rubbed her eyes, half smacking her own face. She pulled out her cell phone and shot off a text before putting it back in her pocket with a sigh.

"It's good to know that I have options," she half-smiled.

"I could take you to the cabin..."

"Problems will still follow, Alex. If it's not this guy? It's some Tremere or a ghost. Ya'll don't want that in your house or cabin or apartment. And it would be unfair of me to put that on you or Greer or Jim. Or anyone else."

"Yes he was in the hall waiting for me after I got flowers from my swim with Cassie..." looking at him "His verbage sounds a lot like things from nightmares I have. I asked for some help, it knew I did, and then left leaving me it's card." looking for it "Jim has it I think Marcus Jakobs I think..." trying to remember the name it gave. "Oh then it told me our kind is always so violent, then stared into my eyes - he had eyes of the stars." faintly said, looking not at anything in the room, and she started to shake.

"Cassie you are safe, bring your ghosts, and whatever it's always better facing such things with a friend." stated honestly.

Cass didn't like the memory of the eyes, either. But she sat up and pulled herself to the floor next to Greer, touching her arm in a comforting manner.

"That's the only unique thing about him? Just his eyes? I mean obviously he's got his magic, what ever it is, but physically, it's just the eyes?"

Greer moved to hug Cassie "Alex you can drown in those eyes, so he's either heaven or hell...." shaking again and hugging Cass tighter. He so wasn't going to get this.

Cass pulled Greer into a gently embrace as she looked at Alex.

"His voice. His booming voice... Commanding enough to eat right through you. And his eyes felt as if they bore into my soul. The combination was... extremely intimidating. He brought salvation and condemnation with him at the same time."

"That sounds like..." Alex's voice trailed off, simply letting the thought hang there, unspoken.

"Like what?" Desperate for an answer.

"I can only think of one thing that brings salvation and condemnation with it, Cass, and that's one of the archangels. But I didn't... don't? think they exist. I mean, not really..."
