More Happenings (Greer, Alex, Cassiel) - The Den

"If it was this guy, he just looks like... a guy. But Greer and Cass both talked about his eyes, like they were made of stars or the color of the stars. Cass said his voice boomed and that he brought condemnation and salvation with him... I mean... the way they describe him makes him sound almost like one of the archangels. But... I don't know that angels are real, Estaban. I'm kinda leaning towards a Mage..."

Greer looked at her phone, nodding to what ever the message was, looking to Alex "You may too say it's much ado about nothing, but he did appear in Jim's living room. And I do mean "appear"." with a smile at him as she closely passed him in the hall.

The water turned off and Cass slowly reemerged, wiping her face on the sleeve of her shirt.

And looking very unhappy.

"Either way, I don't like this guy. He's been to Greer's Apartment, Cass' apartment, Marvin's place and now Jim's. And no one knows who he is or what he's after..."

When he saw Cass his face became a look of concern, "Cass, are you going to be alright?"

Greer sent a couple of quick texts, till she saw Cassie, and gave her a soft real smile. Looking at Estaban and then stopping her words, this wasn't her fight or her place.

She smiled to Greer weakly. She gave a weary nod to Alex, brushing her fingers against his arm.

"I'm just tired. I'll be fine, sugar."

Estaban looked between the two of them and nodded.

"I will trust you both on this. I will need more information tomorrow and I suggest you both tell the sheriff. I am sorry Cassiel, come, let me take you some place safe."

He offered her an arm, his face concerned.

She nodded to Estaban and then turned back to Alex, placing a kiss on his cheek. Cass then turned and took Estaban's arm tightly.

He nodded once to either of the other two.

"Please forgive our brusque exit. Keep safe and good evening."

And with that he lead her out of the apartment.

Before they are gone "Cassie call or text if you need ANYTHING." then she looks to Alex.

"I will, thank you. Same goes for you, Greer."


"Keep watch over Greer, Alex," she said over her shoulder as she left with Estaban.

"Get your rest, Cass... this'll all be over soon." He watched her go, he knew she was with family, but some part of him still felt pained, still wished he could have gone with her. He cursed under his breath, but this was her choice, right? She'd wanted to go with Estaban and Mal, didn't she?

Greer watched them go "Oh why did she text them..." softly under her breath.

Then looking to Alex "You don't need to stay."

(exiting scene)

For a while longer, he looked out the window, down where Estaban and Cass had gone, "No, I don't, but I told Jim I would..."

He left the window and took a seat on the sofa. His hands rested between his knees and his head bowed.

"It's ok I already told him you'd go." evenly said "You don't want to be here with me Alex. Please go."

He looked up at her, "No, Greer, I want to be here with you. But I also want to know that Cass is safe. I care about both of you more than you can possibly know. I don't have to stay, and as much as part of me wants to go after Cass... I know that Estaban is at least capable. I know that maybe you don't want me around right now, and I can respect that, but I don't want either of you alone. At least not for right now..."

"Alex I don't wish to make you stay when you are obviously uncomfortable." looking at him carefully. "She is with Estaban and Malachai why she called them I dont' know." with a shrug "But please don't stay when you don't wish to, I don't want you to ever feel like you have to do something because of me."

"I don't want to go, Greer. Do you understand that. I'm not uncomfortable, I'm worried. I want both of you to be safe. And honestly, what am I going to do if I left? Pace in my tower until I wear a hole in the carpet? No... at this moment, I can at least be here for you, I can at least do something to help."

Greer sent a text, then picked up her guitar and sat down in a chair. "I think it's done at least this evening." starting to tune the guitar by ear, and then looks over at him. "I'm sorry for whatever wrong I did to you Alex."

Alex shook his head as he looked at her, confusion on his face, "Greer, what are you talking about? You haven't done anything wrong. Why are you apologizing so much lately?"

"Because you keep acting like I've done something wrong." sending another quick text and then starts to softly play the guitar.





(5:02:05 AM) "Guitar"(WOD Result: 7)

Alex moved to kneel before her, gently laying his hand across the strings as he looked up, into her eyes, "Greer... I'm sorry. You haven't done anything wrong. I'm not mad at you. I... I don't know what else to say. I enjoy your company I just... I didn't want to get between you and McKay. You seemed so comfortable with him, like you just trusted him to keep you safe. It wasn't my place to try and take that from either of you..."

"Jim and I are very good friends, yes I trust him but I am glad you were there for Cassie but I am not sure what's a foot. But Jim texted me that it's not good news. Thank you for staying with me, and I am glad we can still be friends. I wasn't sure you could stay friends." she looked relieved that he wasn't mad or upset with her.

Alex smiled gently, it was an honest smile, "Greer, I love you. No matter what, nothing is ever going to change that. What I want is for you to be happy. You asked me to be patient, to not push for us to be exclusive. So I'm not pushing, that's all, Greer. I'm still here for you when ever you want me around."
