She ponders for a moment, then starts singing softly to him a song she obviously understand in her own way.



(1:11:54 AM) "Singing"(WOD Result: 10)

It was a strange transition. He stared at her while she sang for him. He was listening to her intently. Then he was pulling her against him. Burying his face in her hair as she continued. It may have taken her a while to notice. But the big man's shoulders were shaking. His grip tightened. Not painful. He was holding her in some strange attempt to comfort himself as he silently cried against her.

She curled around him, holding him, finishing the song and gently rocking him.

He gripped her. Held himself against her. He let her rock him. But he didn't let go for several more minutes. When he did let go his voice was somewhat choked. "Sorry. I didn't mean ta do that."

She held him tightly, while he stayed gripping her, she gently cups his face and kisses him. "Hey what are friends for." she says gently to him.

He laughed. Obviously embarrassed. "That song ya just sang. Reminded me of someone very close ta me. Used ta be. She died 'bout six months ago." He ran his fingers through her hair. "Didn't want ya ta think I went all sappy on ya for no reason."

A slightly surprised smile crosses her face "I didn't think it was for no reason. Thank you for sharing why. I heard the song and it really touched me." running her hands through his hair "I am not going to tell anyone." as if worried he was thinking that.

He laughed. Then he pulled his fingers through her hair again. Gently stroking. "I know. I trust ya. Most people knew her. I just don't let 'em know it still bugs me." He smiled and leaned over to kiss her. "I think she woulda liked ya."

Kissing him back "You want to talk about her?" gently rubbing his shoulders.

He laughed. Slowly coming back to himself. "Ya know darlin'. Most women don't wanna hear about other women when they're in bed with a man." He arched to her fingers. "What do ya wanna know 'bout her?"

"Who was she and why was she so special to you?" looking at him with a soft laugh "I'm really not like most women in a number of ways in case you didn't notice." kissing his cheek softly.

His arms wrapped around her waist. Rubbed her back softly. "Tremere named Griselda McKenzie. Ya mighta heard 'bout her. I met her 'bout two hundred years ago. She saved my life. Stood up ta her clan ta keep 'em from hurtin' me. Saved my life again. She was special ta me." He laughed again. Brushed his fingers through her hair. "She was killed here. A Tzimisce killed 'er."

"No I haven't heard of her, but it sounds like she was good to you. I'm sorry she died such a horrible way, and that she is no longer here." genuinely stated, still rubbing his shoulders, and leans forward doing an Eskimo kiss of rubbing noses. "Do you want to talk of her more?"

He laughed. Brushed his nose against hers. "She used ta do that too. Rest her forehead against ya." He was smiling. His hands traced lazy circles on her back. "Darlin', I done told ya. I'll do whatever ya want me ta do." He kissed her lips gently. "Why don't ya tell me what would make ya happy right now?"

"This is, you staying and talking to me. Not rushing out, touching me, and being affectionate." with a shrug "I am told I am naive but I do hope we've become friends." with a shy smile at him. "I like questions and answers but silly things like books people like and always music and why. You've naturally done an number of them already."

He laughed. Leaned forward and kissed her again. "I get that. I can stay for a bit. An' yeah, I'd like ta think we're gettin' ta be friends." He smiled at her. Ran his hands through her hair to brush it gently. "So what's ya favorite thing ta do? I mean when you're alone an' all."

"Play music, sing, and try to chase my musical dragon. Do you know about my blood line?" looking at him curiously.

He smiled. "A little bit. I know ya all have a thing about music." He brushed her hair again. "Wanna tell me a bit more about it?"

Leaning into his touch "We are not the same as toreador, but are a cousin of sorts. We hear a constant song, that no others seem to hear, some say it is the same song but I do not think so. But it's like I can not copy it, write it down, or share it but it's the most perfect song I've ever heard. It is the dragon I chase that is always just out of reach. So I focus on things I can master, or attempt to."

Leaning forward kissing him softly "But if you've got to go you should."

He shook his head. "Darlin', if I had ta go. I woulda already told ya." He smiled and brushed her hair again. "So this song of yours. Can ya describe it at all?" He tilted his head and watched her. "Or are ya tellin' me ya want me ta leave?"

Raising an eyebrow "No I don't want you to leave, but you mentioned you should soon. And before I attempt the explanation of my song and I am very selfish being petted by a good looking man - I'll keep it as long as I can." with a sly smile at him and a mischievous twinkle in her eye.

He laughed. "I could probably stay tha day if ya wanted. Some vamps get weird about that, though." He shook his head. "Darlin', I'll pet on ya all ya want me to." He kissed her again. "All ya gotta do is let me know."

She laughs softly "I'm not good at asking for things I want or need."

Closing her eyes "For me the song is like a series of "acts" or parts of a symphony but with voices instead of instruments. The start is violent turbulent, and" her hand grazes the amethyst necklace still around her neck and her other hand her sternum "And then a almost children's song or carousel, then another fast part, and" looking at him. "Then it's just beautiful, deadly, and...." shaking her head "words can't do it justice." looking down. Softly humming, a flowing enchanting turn, and shaking her head.

Looking at him "I usually do my talk that I am just looking for friends, nothing more due to not wanting to deal with jealousy, so maybe this is Estaban's way of following my words? Sorry I don't want to upset you again." leaning forward to kiss him again quite playfully.

He pulled her close for another playful kiss. "Darlin'. Can I ask ya ta do me a favor?" He grinned at her. Massaged her back with his fingers. "Why don't ya work on just tellin' me what ya want? May not be able ta do much about it. But I can listen anyway."

She looked at him confused "What I want? In what way?"
