Looking for a Fight (Ali & Open)

"We were in Greece, it was beautiful, romantic and relaxing. It was just amazing and we had a wonderful, magical time." leaning back into Jim looking up with him with an adoring loving look.

He seemed to brighten a little and beamed at Greer. "Ya took tha words outta my mouth, love."

Ali smiled at them both, "Sounds like you had a great time. It's on my hope to go places." with a nod to them both.

He laughed. "Tell that man of yours ta take ya some place nice."

"He's got to earn vacation time right now and well he cashed it in for me recently." looking guilty as she said it.

"Bet if I asked him, he didn't care he used it." with a smile at Ali and reach over to have a drink of Jim's drink.

He let Greer take his drink for a taste. It tasted like grape kool-aid, really, though there was not a drop of anything in it that wasn't alcoholic. "I bet she's right," he grinned.

"I think he would but I feel bad. No real vacation for him." with a frown and a wait to see if Greer wanted her own or if she was going to finish her own drink.

He reached over to play with Greer's hair idly. "If he don't wanna, he'll say so. Man's as stubborn as an ox."

Greer leaned into the hair play, but didn't add to the conversation, she was still humming and singing with the music, and keeping her hand in his back pocket - cause he was on "official business".

"Yes he can be." with a nod to Jim, watching him and Greer; well it was so sweet - they were obviously smitten with each other. "I've got to wait on some customer's be right back. " so she made sure the bar was served, any cocktails taken care of and came back over.

"What should I wear? Just comfortable clothes or something specific?" looking at Jim.

"Running pants that are easy ta move in and one of them sports bra things," he said without hesitation.

Greer looked her over, "A really good one or wear 2 of them." with a smile at Ali what she had enough that 2 were in order.

Ali listened, nodded to Jim and then Greer, no blush she got what they were saying. "Understood. Anything else I should bring or have with me?"

"Gatorade, ace bandages, probably sports tape and gauze."

"Okay I can pick that up." with a nod to him, "Anything else if you think of it, you can text me if you'd like my number."

He nodded. "Might be best. I'll give ya my number as well, in case ya need anything." He grinned. "And probably tha woman's, too, in case I am indisposed."

Greer pulled out her phone to take the number with a grin at Ali, not explaining Jim's answer at all.

Ali was going to ask then she saw Greers smile, thought better of it and exchanged numbers with both of them. With a bright smile, even if mentally she was dreading it all the way, she knew it would make Medwyn feel better so on Monday she was going to go learn to fight "Brujah" style from a guy that could easily snap her in two.

Oh, come on now. He could snap her in two, but it would not be easy. He gave her a playful grin. "Don't worry. I don't break bones on tha first date."

"So it's the second date I have to worry about." with a smile back at Jim.

He laughed and kissed Greer's forehead. "I dunno. Don't think I have broken her bones yet and she's pretty wee."

Greer laughed, looking at Ali "None broken to this day and I can assure you I've more then once asked for him to try." with a wink and a lyrical laugh as she said it.

Ali wasn't sure how to reply to Greer, so she smiled her best bartender smile and replied "Good, good to know." with a thoughtful nod at her and figured she'd text Medwyn later.

He laughed at that, finally sitting down on a bar stool and just picking Greer up and setting her on his lap, on the left knee. He kissed her shoulder and gave Ali a smile. "All joking aside. You'll be all right, girl. We ain't gonna break ya."
