One night at sea... (grandpa) - Nyxie

He held her eyes.

"You had faith. You had the courage to find me. You had a dream that you would not let rest until you had found me. That alone is enough to make me proud of you."

She smiled, a slow sincere warm smile.

"I love you grandpa."

Such an odd thing, though for her, not an odd thing to say. He smiled, his lips only turning faintly upward. He nodded slowly.

"I know. I care deeply for you, little one."

She a red tear of happiness slid slowly down her check, her happiness filling her eyes.

"Lets go dancing"

The tear was brushed away with a gentle thumb. Then he nodded.

"We shall dance."

She leaned forward and kissed his check, turned applied red lipstick, fluffed her hair and turned back. She slid her hand into the crock of his arm and looked up at him expectantly.

The hint of a smile touched his lips as he led her to the door to take her dancing.

She let him lead her, today and everyday in the future, he was her rock, he was her compass, he would not steer them to any place that they should not go. 'he is proud of me' she thought, her heart swelled with joy and began to beat, her checks flushed and her body grew warm.

He could feel the warmth flush through the girl at his side, turned his head to look at her.

"You look quite pretty with blood in your cheeks."

She blushed. "Thank you. It happens sometimes, especially when I'm really happy." A realization flashed across her eyes. "There is something that I forgot to tell you..."

He paused in his walking to turn to fully look at her.

"Yes?"

She looked nervous. "I'm fairly unique... some think it's a good thing and some think it's a sign of the end. I'm different, sun light doesn't hurt as much, I can stay awake during the day, I can turn body systems on..." she paused and looked sad "I was pregnant once, but I frenzied and lost it. Well to stop me from frenzing I was contained and it didn't survive."

He cupped her cheek.

"Then you have a great advantage over most of us."

"Oh..."

The underlying nervous that she held dissipated. His support and understanding amazed her. She had never know anyone like him. She knew now that she could tell him anything and he wouldn't judge, he would evaluate the situation. She would not be punished they way she had before.

"If I ever have a child would you be it's godfather?"

He shook his head.

"No. But I will be his grandfather."

"So I'm not even pregnant yet and it's already a boy huh?" there was a teasing hint in her voice, and her smile was back.

He smiled.

"Of course. You will bear sons that will make us both proud, little one, should you bear children at all."

She shook her head smiling and thought to herself, 'men are always the same, you would think they would realize that women are needed too, you know both parts are necessary and actual grows the next generation.'

Out loud she said, "Yes grandpa, but I should hope that if its ever a girl you would be there for her the same way you would be there for a boy."

He shook his head.

"No. For a boy, I will teach him to be a warrior. For a girl, I would spoil her and make her the most beautiful lady within the land."

She giggled, "ok grandpa."

She let go of his hand and twirled joyfully to the door. "Dance with me?" and she struck a seductive poose of the tango.

His own movements became seductive, the dance of the tango being one of passion and seduction. But it was as if he didn't seem to notice such things; either in her, or in himself. As it was, he slid up next to her, wrapped an arm around her waist.

"Always, little one."

She let him lead through the dance, being playful and passionate. Letting the steps flow and her inherent desire pump through her veins and flush her skin. She said nothing, she simple was... calm, centered and confident she meet his eyes and didn't look away.

He did not seem to waver, either. He watched her. He watched her form, her movements. He answered in kind, though the tango is one of the most passionate dances ever choreographed, so that while his face seemed devoid of any emotion, he seemed quite sensual as he let her lead him through the steps of the dance.

Her steps were filled with passion and her techique was unparaelled. It took on a supernatural quailty as she let go and simply was the tango. The dance filled her completely as she gave herself over to it. She held the last pose as if she was not aware that the dance was over. Slowly awareness returned to her eyes.

She smiled up at him, "That was enjoyable."

His own steps, while lacking the emotion and passion of hers, were still skilled. He almost smiled as he held her in that final pose, seeming content to leave her there in his grip for as long as she wished.

"Quite," was his quiet reply.
