She nods . . .

"Of course not . . .But understand we both will have to agree on everything . . .Or she will use us against each other . . .We can't have her do that . . ."

He went serious.

"Don't worry. Anything big we talk about and I plan to talk with you regularly about her anyway. The only way we can do this. I actually have a huge favor to ask you. For the first month after she is born.. can I come by every day to help with her? You will be tired and not sleeping a lot. I can just be around days so you can take naps when you can and she can get used to my heart beat, my voice."

She thought a moment . . . She glanced toward him . . .

"I don't see why not . . .But she doesn't leave my home without me . . . At least for the first months of her life . . . I want her to understand I am there for her . . .As well as you . . . I am not like other mothers who think that they should always carry there child until they are five . . . I will raise her the way I see fitting her age . . .Of course, she is a baby and needs us but when she starts understanding right and wrong . . . I ask that we take things day by day and punishment or not as we feel she should be raised. . . " She hoped he agreed.

He nodded.

"I take her no where unless you agree. Day by day, punishment.. we will talk about that later, probably several times. But yeah, I agree."

She nodded and glanced back to her way of decorating . . .She had to think on how she wanted it if it was right . . .She placed her hands on her hips . . .

"Is there something you'd like to discuss . . ."

He thought for a moment.

"I mostly just wanted to check in with you. I have been a little busy looking for a job and havent been in for a while. You also haven't called. I just.. wanted to see how you are doing."

She looked back to him . . ."I understand . . ."She thought a moment . . .

"How bad are you against Vampires?"

He raised an eyebrow.

"Depends on what you mean by that. Do you mean how much to I hate them? Or Do I loose when I fight them. If you are talking about your mother, I already know our daughter has two families and they have to get along. I will never say or show any animosity toward your family. ever. I have been trying to leave it behind. After all.. they are just people. Right?"

Somehow.. it didn't sound angry and bitter or anything. Just like someone who has been thinking about it a lot and wasn't going to lie to her at all. He was laying everything out.

She nodded . . .

"That's good to know . . .But I wasn't talking about that . . . I was meaning if you can get a long with one . . . I can get you a job but . . . It's owned by a vampire . . . He runs two stores one with cigars another is weapons . . . I've been working in both and I am sure I can get you a job in the weapon's area . . .If ya want . . ."

He frowned thinking.

"If it comes to that, I will take it. But I really am more of an outdoor kind of guy. I am hoping to get a job with a stable or ranch in the area. I love horses. In fact back before.. everything happened, I always wanted to be a trainer nad was told I was going to be one of hte best... That was before of course."

She nodded . . .

"Speak with him . . . His name is Estaban he knows the area well, I'm sure he can help still . . . He has a lot of influences . . ." She replied . . .

"It's worth a shot . . .At least . . ."

He looked at her.

"You trust the guy. Maybe even like him. And I appreciate the advice."

She nodded.

"Of course, He is my uncle and my mothers most trusted friend. . . He is the one that gave me the two jobs I work at . . . If it wasn't for him, I couldn't afford what I have." She tilted her head.

"Buck, whatever you and your clan believes, I'm poor as dirt, I do not take money from my mother. . . Though she does want to give it to me, I refuse. . . I have worked extremely hard to have all the things I want." She smirked . . .

"I'm not the spoiled princess most think I am . . . I was seen as a rebel because in stead of studies I was out saving the world and getting paid for it. . .Hense when I told you I helped one of your kind kill what was called a wyrm." She sighed rubbing the back of her neck looking around.

"The only time I got time for myself was when I went to the clubs, drank and fun . . . Sometimes fun meant waking up with someone in my bed but it helped the stress go away . . ." She shrugged . . ."You were the only one that I forgot to ask to put a condom on."

He sighed.

"I never called you a spoiled princess. I will be here for our daughter, and will do my best by you. I have a job and I will be splitting the monies from it between this house and the other. You will have to decide if that one slip up, by you and me was worth it or not for you. A curse or a blessing, thats up to you to decide."

Then he smiled.

"I know how I am counting it."

She looked to him, the way he said it might not have been the best way of putting it. She wouldn't let this piss her off, she choose her words very wisely.

"I do not see it as a curse . . . I see my child as blessing." She watched him closely.

"That is nice of you to do." She wouldn't go into the fact that she didn't want him to. She then smiled as she honestly slowly cooled down.

He smiled.

"Lucky as all get out. And I know you probably don't want the money. I know sometimes everything about me piss you off. If it comes to it, put it all in a bank account for her education. And I appreciate that you are trying, that you put up with me."

She watched him and let out a sigh.

"You're welcome." she said as she went to sit in the rocking chair.

He watched her.

"So what can I do... to make it not so irritating to be around me?"

She shrugged.

"You can't, its you." she smirked.

"Its alright, we can blame it on me being pregnant.' She laughed.

He smiled.

"Except when your pregnant you have the trump card. Nothing gets blamed on you. Say.. I'm pregnant and you win."

She laughed.

"That's isn't a excuse I know this, so, I tend not to use it." She shrugged.

"You say things without thinking, all I ask you think before you speak."

He thought for a moment.

"Okay, if that is what it takes."

Cause he wasnt going to argue with her.

She nods softly and shrugs.

"Thank you."

He nodded.

"So, what else can I do?"

She shrugged gently.

"I have no clue . .. Let's just play it by ear."
