She had made sure that they were alone in the house before he woke up, then waited, sitting in her cage and watching him, for him to wake up.

He did finally stir, sitting up slowly as he looked around his room for either Elizabeth or Savannah. One of them should be there, watching over him while he slept.

She moved as he shifted, crawling up onto the bed to join him.

"Morning."

He smiled at her, reaching out to caress her cheek.

"Good morning."

She smiled and nuzzled into him.

"Did you sleep well?"

He smiled.

"I always sleep well, when you are around. How about you? Did you sleep?"

She nodded.

"Little. Enough."

He smiled.

"You know I want you to feel rested, right? You can take as much time to sleep as you need to."

She nodded.

"I know. I do try so very hard. Even if I don't sleep, I rest. Promise."

Smiling, he nodded.

"Good."

She bit her lip and looked up at him.

"We are alone. Can you tell me of Savannah?"

He nodded.

"You know what she is, I expect?"

She frowned.

"I suspect. It is what makes the most sense, for their to be wolves howling in my head when she is near. But it has not been confirmed."

He nodded.

"She is a wolf. But she is a kind of wolf that should not ever be spoken of to other wolves."

She nodded.

"I guessed. So we are her pack?"

He nodded.

"Yes. But only we and Savannah know it. The other wolves can never be told."

She nodded.

"It will never come from me. I promise."

He smiled.

"I know. I trust you, Elizabeth."

She smiled up at him, then bit her lip, chewing lightly. As if she wanted to ask something more, but didn't know if she should.

He smiled at her.

"What is it, dear?"

She chewed her lip a little more, but didn't look away.

"Will we ever be lovers?"

His brow rose.

"Depends on you."

Her head tilted, confused.

"How?"

He smiled.

"Sex is not a natural thing for me any longer. I'm not a youth and I have to actually work to make my penis hard or even have any sort of sensation. If you wish to become my lover, then of course, I will oblige you. I am quite fond of you and you are very aesthetically pleasing to me. However, unless you wish it, then I see no reason to pursue such an action."

She nodded in complete understanding.

"I do wish it, but do not require it daily. Perhaps once a week? If I've been good?"
