I Got Present! - Cabin in the Swamp

He pushed back her hair, and gently stroked her face. "I love you too Bethy. Lots and lots. You make life worth living."

She kissed his chin happily.

"Ditto."

"Want to pick a book for me to read from ?"

She scrambled to the book shelf to grab a good western. She loved westerns, especially when he read them.

"Get that copy o' Flint by Louis L'Amour please love. Ah think ya will like that 'un. 'Bout an orphan who turned stupid rich, and then went back out west to die when he had cancer, and opened up a whole can of whoop ass on some bad men."

It took her a minute, but she came back with the book. And crawled into his lap to be read to.

Chet gave her a soft kiss, and tucked her in close before opening up the book.

She was asleep before the end of the first chapter, snoring softly. It had been a tiring day out among people.

Gently he closed the book, and kissed her forehead before carefully going back inside to their bedroom. He found a comfortable chair, and sat back down, still cradling the exhausted ghoul. He could hold her all night, and if he fell asleep for the day holding her, well that was ok too.

She was asleep for only an hour, only moving to curl further into him. When she woke up, it was slowly.

"Sorry."

Chet gently stroked her hair and smiled "Shhh love. It's ok. I want Bethy to know she can always fall asleep in my arms, no matter the time of the night. I'm here for her the same way she is here for me."

She smiled and nuzzled his hand.

"But I fell asleep during story time."

"That's what story time is for" he smiled "So Bethy can relax and forget all about the troubles of the day. And if she falls asleep, that means she's let all her troubles go."

She purred softly and kissed his neck.

"Chet keeps Bethy safe."

"And Bethy keeps Chet safe" he smiled while scraping his fangs across her neck. "Tastes good too."

She bared more of her throat to him.

"So does Chet."

He smiled and slowly sank his fangs into her throat, and started to drink

She gasped and moaned prettily, writhing in his arms. This was the best feeling ever, and it felt even better because it was him.

He took his sweet time drinking from her (one unit) and then slowly withdrew his fangs and healed the wounds.

"I love you so much Bethy"

She nibbled on his neck lightly.

"I love you too, more than dreams."

He sighed happily and kissed her forehead. "Bethy is mah dream come true"

She smiled.

"Still trying to live up to that.'

"Just be yerself love, and it will come true ever night ya be here for me."

She shifted in his lap, took his face in her hands, and kissed him deeply.

He pressed her close and returned the kiss with passion.

"Don' ever leave me Bethy"
