Teaching Kitty - Cabin in the Swamp

She was lying on her stomach on the floor, carefully explaining the facts of living in a cabin surrounded by the swamp to the kitten.  Things like how to avoid gators and other predators, where to not go so as to not fall in the water.  The important things.

Chet lay down next to the ghoul, and held out a little bag of catnip to the kitten

"Made sure this one will never grow up" he smiled

The kitten attacked the catnip. Bethy looked up at him with a smile.

"Thank you. This is better than the old way."

"Yes, it is. Kitty is adorable. What is her name?"

she chuckled and pet the kitten.

"Masha."

"That's a good name" he said, while tugging on the bag of catnip. "Such a friendly kitty"

She grabbed the kitten by the midsection and pulled it into a cuddle.

"She's the bestest. Thank you!"

"You are welcome" he said with a smile while kissing the top of Bethy's head. "I hope you two are happy together"

The kitten was all purrs and happy head butting. Bethy was holding it close, but not too close.

"We are. And we both love Chet."

"I love both of you. My little happy family"

She snuggled close and the kitten kept purring.

Chet smiled and kissed the top of Bethy's head. "Where did you find it?"

She giggled.

"Box said free kittens."

"And you brought one home. Good for you"

She giggled.

"He wanted to come home. He liked me."

"Smart kitty" he grinned

She lifted the girl up to where she could look her in the eye.

"Masha is going to be a good kitten to both of us."

"Ah think yer right"he said while scratching the little cat behind her ears

The kitten was all purrs, nuzzling into the vampire's hand.

"Love you."

"Loved ya before ah even met ya babe" he smiled

She giggled and put the kitten down to kiss Chet deeply.

"Loved you all my life."

"Mmmmm" he moaned happily under her kiss. "Ah think I am the luckiest malk alive"

She smiled, then kissed him again. Feeling very...affectionate.
