Too long a wait (Mina) - Mina's Home and Studio

She held him close, kissing him lightly.

"I will do nothing to stop you. But if I am here, you need not even knock. You are always welcome."

He smiled a little wickedly.

"even if you are with a dreamer?"

She laughed.

"I do not usually bring them here. But yes, even if."

He smiled.

"i am special then."

She stroked his face again.

"Si. Did you not already know that? Have I not shown you this?"

"You have Mina. You really have. You make me smile so much, and ease my worries. Thank you for this. for you. for the way you care."

The tone of his voice said it was all true.

She nodded.

"Come, I will give you a massage. Lie on your stomach next to me."

He rolled over and lay next to her, his arms pillowing his head.

"Ever since I found my sister again.. I have not been away from her. This is.. a type of torture, like a fever."

It was an incredibly personal thing to say.

She straddled his hips and began to kneed her fingers into his back muscles, finding the tension and loosening it.

"Si, I can well imagine. And I will do all I can to help you through this. How long has it been, since you found her again?"

"Three years. Only three years. I lost her when she was a baby, when our parents were killed and she was adopted. they didnt want me. And in Mexico rules are much less strict."

She nodded and pushed harder into the places where she felt the tension.

"Oh, amor. I am so very sorry. I really wish there was more I could do, but that would only legitimize her fears."

He groaned as she pushed harder.

"Yes. I am afraid if she agrees to talk to me I will not mention you and I cannot drink from you again. You have no idea how often I wanted to come back to you, to taste you. But.. I cannot. but I do want..us to be more. to be together. Will you accept me on those terms?"

She leaned over and kissed the back on his neck, wrapping her arms around his where they pillowed his head.

"Amor, I accept you on those terms. I will never ask anything of you that you cannot give."

He relaxed in her arms.

"Thank you. You know you really should find someone else, someone that will put you first, someone who is not poison to you. And yet, I so do not want you to. Earlier you asked me if I was used to being dependant on another.. I am not, I really am not and I am finding myself emotionally dependant on two, one of who... rejects me. And the other I should leave alone for her own good."

She nuzzled into his neck, her voice caressing his ear as she spoke softly.

"I do not need to be first. I do not need anything other than what we have. You and I match in ways people will never understand. Te amo con todo lo que soy, y nunca será cuidado por otro la manera de cuidar de usted. I will never leave you, unless you wish me to."

He sighed and trembled a little. He was too strong to cry. It was not his peoples way. But to hear those words after being thrown out by his only living relative...

"We have barely met and barely know each other still you tell me this. When my own sister throws me away. I am shamedthat I do not give you more. But I promise, what I can give you, I will give you completely. and totally."

She understood that he couldn't. And perhaps, because of where she grew up, she would think less of him if he did cry. But she simply held him more gently.

"Amor, feel no shame. I know what I get myself into."

He though for a moment of turning over but instead lay there and got control of his emotions, control of himself.

"How can you, when it has only begun. How can you feel so strongly for me, be willing to risk for a man you have known but for two days?"

She moved until she was lying next to him, one arm up around his, the other on his back. One of her fur covered legs lay over his, while the other rubbed up and down the side.

"Because I do. Because I Dream. And because I have never been one to stand on the outskirts and watch. I will be dancing in the flames as the city burns around me."

He looked at her closely, the comfort of her against his body not escaping him.

"What do you dream about?"

She smiled.

"I dream of a partner who can help me bring back the old gods."

He smiled at her kissed the side of her face.nuzzling into her.

"WE can try, we can certainly try. If two are strengthened by our worship, if other follow them, then maybe.. Do the god show up in your world, in the land of your magic?"

She nuzzled closer.

"If you hunt long enough."

He sighed against her.

"And are you a hunter then?"

She chuckled softly.

"I found you, didn't I?"
