Too long a wait (Mina) - Mina's Home and Studio

It had been almost 3 weeks since he first met the woman. the Fae. She was both and he had a feeling both of them made up what he found interesting about her. His relationship with his sister was still rocky but she would have to understand. Meanwhile he had promised to come back. He stood in an alley across from the apartment. he had been here the night before too, but had seen her enter with a man and he wasnt going to interupt. she needed her 'dreamers' whatever they were.

But tonight he knew she was n. He could see her through one window.. see lights. And what he hadnt seen was anyone else. He moved from the shadows and crossed the street, knocking on her door.

She came to the door dressed in a simple robe. When she saw it was him, she squeaked with joy and threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around his neck and holding tight.

"Amor!"

He smiled and caught her of course, moving forward and closing the door with one foot. And then he kissed her.

"Hello. Miss me amante?"

She returned the kiss with wanton passion.

"Sí, amante, muy mucho."

She set her feet down on the step up to the top floor, so she could look him in the eye.

"Why did you stay away so long?"

He smiled.

"It was not the right time. I had to wait. You thought i would not return maybe? I promised and i always keep my promises. My sister is not so happy I would not promise to never see you again. "

She cupped his face with her hands.

"Have I caused problems with your sister?"

He smiled.

"No, i did. I am the one that went with you and I did what I did. you are only responsible for your own entanglements."

He liked the way she faced him and touched him. his arms went around her and pulled her a little closer.

"Have i caused you any trouble?"

She gladly was drawn closer to him.

"None at all, but for missing you. Come upstairs. I had just opened a bottle of wine."

He smiled and put a hand in hers, holding her hand as they walked up the stairs.

"I thought maybe the Ventrue."

She snorted.

"We use each other for simple pleasures. And I am learning from him. I do not share with him any sort of bond, and his heart belongs to only one other."

She led him up to the couch. As they entered the main area, he would notice that she now had wood floors. Not carpets. And her couch was a lovely black.

"I would much rather spend time with you."

He shrugged.

"He striked me as a man used to getting his way and who likes to claim things. Not that I am much different. other than maybe not being as good at it."

He went to the couch where she led. He saw the difference and chuckled.

"I would rather spend time with you thatn talking about him as well. I see you went with something that doesnt rip as easily. Or stain. And black hides blood. So.. tell me what you have been up to sine i was gone."

She picked up the opened bottle of red and poured herself a glass before snuggling up to him.

"I have been working. And learning of vampires. And teaching a nice young man the art of love making. I fear he might be falling for me, but it is something I have dealt with before."

She took a sip of her wine then rested her head against his shoulder while holding the glass on her knee.

"I have been dreaming of your God."

He chuckled, one arm going around her omfortably. despite the time away, he was as comfortable with her as he had been after they had made love.

"I am pretty sure you have taken many hearts. Young and old. And dealt with many jealousies. I promise you will never have to deal with that from me."

He looked in her eyes after her last statement and after a moment nodded.

He does that. We made sacrifice in his name and he remembers. what have you dreamed?"

"Green fields and fertile lands. He is pleased."

She wasn't frightened by the dreams, she seemed to be comforted by the fact that the God had entered her dreams. Those were sacred to her.

"I am sorry that you have lost the ability to dream."

He nodded.

"That is good. He gave you dreams of rebirth. I am glad. I have lost a few things. No dreams, no enjoyment of my taste, I will never have a son, but I am his priest and there is a high price to pay. And there are rewards. Like meeting you."

She looked up to his face with a smile.

"I am glad to have met you. I want to get to know more about you."

Her wine seemed to be forgotten upon her knee, now that something more fascinating had come along. Namely, him. It was her night off, and she was happy to spend it just like this.

He was close and smelled of earth and the trees.

"Ask whatever you wish. I may not answer, but i will not lie to you."

the hand not around her felt her leg softly moving from the silk of the robe to flesh and back. he was not starting anything intentionally, just enjoying the touch of her.

She downed her wine in one gulp, setting the glass on the side table. Then her legs went over his lap, so she could watch him and still feel his touch.

"How long have you walked the earth?"

He laughed.

"You make it sound like i might be some ageless traveler. Not yet. I am 27."

but he looked 19.

She slapped his chest lightly.

"And how am I to know this, when you are of a people that are ageless? I will age and die, and you will always look this good."

He smiled.

"And maybe you the god will give me a gift and let me dream again and i will dream of you every night. You never know. So how long have you walked the earth? And pleasured peoples dreams."

She rested her hand against his cheek.

"I can try to give you dreams, but it would require you to trust me with your sleeping body. I have not tried with vampires, so I don't know that it would work, but I can try. And I am all of 20 years."

He looked at her curiously.

"Maybe. We might try that someday.though .. would it hurt you to give me dreams? i would not want you to hurt me for such."

She shook her head.

"I do not think so. It is simply magic. I have worked it without harm on your kind before."

She rested her head against his shoulder again.

"What can you tell me of your magics."

He thought.

"If it safe then I would not mind it. I dont want to hurt you. My magic. It comes from blood and the flayed god. It is.. very addaptable. I can tell you a little more but I warn you, this is very secret. There are those that hunt those who do magic among the kindred."
