"But how do you get someone to freely give you their blood?" Confused ghoul was confused.

"Like I said, some vampires gather people, think, a social circle of sorts from whom they can feed. They might disguise the Kiss as something else, drugs or, well..." he knew what the Kiss felt like. "Some have Ghouls, who they can feed from. Basically, people who either are aware of the nature of a vampire and are willing to give their blood. Or people who simply want the pleasure without knowing the real truth behind its cause"

"Puts a whole new meaning behind the subculture I've studied," he nodded. "But it makes perfect sense."

"Probably explains a few things, yeah" Teddy lifted her hands, brushing her fingers through her hair. "Honest truth? When I came to visit the club the first time, I thought maybe I would someplace I would be able to hunt... heh... I haven't though. I haven't once laid a hand on anyone there and I won't do it either. I was hoping I might be able to find a good, safe place and people to drink from. Because I'm one of the vampires who hunt" though she'd said she preferred not to take from people which probably meant she had to hunt.

"Because I respect you. Because I like the guys" she smile at him. "Because I respect the fact that it's a place where people who've had traumatic experiences can come to talk about them. And I don't want to be the monster in the night..." Teddy shrugged her shoulders lightly. "And you're Griselda's Ghoul. So... it would, by our society's laws, probably be considered trespassing on someone else's territory were I to hunt there"

"She might mind..." as in, he should probably check with her before making that offer. "And mm, you know what the Kiss feels like. You sure you'd be comfortable feeling that.. from me?" because she didn't want awkward. She really really didn't want awkward.

"I'd be comfortable with it," he nodded with a smile. "And like I said, there's always the bar stock."

"Thank you... that's.. that's really generous actually" she said with a grateful done of voice and a smile that said the same. "If I really need it, I might take you up those offers. Assuming Griselda doesn't mind..."

"Probably not, but yeah, I rather not get chewed out for overstepping my boundaries" she nodded as she chewed on her lip. "My..." she paused for a moment as if unsure if she should say something or not. "My boyfriend... he was a Ghoul when I met him. He let me drink from him... and that, heh, was the first time in years, that I was able to drink from someone who gave me the consent to do so" and it obviously meant a lot to her.
"I'm happy you trust me enough to make the offer you know..."

"Friends" came the simple answer. "Friends look after each other. And I like spending time with you, and the guys at the club. You're all very kind to me. You guys and the marines... I couldn't ask for better friends really" Teddy smiled at him.

Meanwhile? Meanwhile Diego was trying to not so elegantly climb off the table.

"And you look after me too. That's what friends do"

"Where's he going?" His eyes darted back to the bear.

Diego was very special... And it was a bit new for Sebastian. And he just couldn't help it. He had the attention span of a squirrel where that bear was concerned.

"Well, beats me. He does whatever he wants to most of the time. Think he wants back on the floor though" which seemed to be pretty accurate guess as the bear swung his legs over the edge and tried to figure out how to get down without just falling down.

Sebastian was afraid he'd try to... um, jump? Or.. teddy bear suicide... So he very quickly picked him up and set him back down on the floor.

"How are the Marines, anyway? I've only seen John in lately."

Happy to be on the floor, Diego turned, waved a kind of thank you to Sebastian, and proceeded to wander off to do uhm, teddy bear things.

"Scotty's become a dad" the blond smiled. "My guess is that's keeping him busy at least"

"Oh, I was wondering about that! I will make sure I send him a little something. Boy or girl?" Sebastian truly smiled.

"Girl" she smiled softly. "Her name's Sophia"

Teddy nodded.
"Yeah" she smiled at him, obviously very happy on their behalf. "I'm teaching Scotty some basic cooking so he can help out around the house a bit more. Think I nearly gave him a heart attack when I first suggested it"

"What? He thought he could get by on take out the whole time?" He shook his head.

"I don't think he'd even stopped and thought about it to be honest. But he's been good. He can make stuff now without starting a fire or anything. And that despite looking terrified when I started introducing him to kitchen appliances. For a marine that's used to working with explosives he can be a bit of a sissy" though she said that it the most loving way possible.

"It's just whole new territory, I think," he chuckled softly. "I guess a mixer loses it's interest since it doesn't have all the destructive fiddly bits."
