Stalker distraction - movies! (Cass, open) - Sunflower Beach

Mhm, yeah, totally lying.
"But half the fun's taking it off..." said the blond innocently. "Although I'm starting to think I need more skirts and dresses because the jeans are a bit of a problem at times" Teddy whistled.

"Hey, that kind of underwear is expensive!" Which was completely true. "And one can never have too many skirts in their closet. You know what you need? A couple of sexy wrap dresses," she nodded. "Let Medwyn unwrap you like a present."

"What do you mean that kind of underwear? My underwear is perfectly normal. Except it looks like a rainbow threw up on most of it" she couldn't help it, she was drawn to colours! And shinies. She had rainbow coloured underwear with sparkly stars on it for crying out loud.
"I got a sarong or two, for the beach, but I spend more time in my wetsuit than I do in a bikini while there"

"Well, it is! Especially when I spend all my money on things like old film and paper and camera stuff and paints and salt and... you know?" She chuckled softly.

"Has Medwyn come out to the beach with you? You teach him how to surf, yet?"

"We've gone swimming a few times" she smiled, leaning back against the closet, hands behind her back. "Haven't gotten to the surfing yet but, we will. Summer's just around the corner anyways. So lots of time to learn" Teddy said, tapping her nails on the closet door before sliding one hand away to play with the chain around her neck which disappeared down under her top.

Cass watched, her smile never faltering. She knew what that chain belonged to, but she didn't say anything about it or the tags it held.

"How's he sleeping?"

"Better" she said, probably unaware of what she was doing with the chain. "I talked with Griselda like you suggested" the blond smiled as she nodded towards the bed where a dream catcher could be seen. "That helps. Though, it doesn't make the dreams go away completely. Still hoping I can find a way to do that though" because more than anything, she wanted to help her love.

Cass glanced over at the dream catcher. "She made me one, too." She looked back to Teddy, taking her hand to pull her out of the closet gently.

"Better is good, though. I know you both probably just want the dreams to go away completely. And they just might over time."

The blond nodded with a gentle smile as she let Cass pull her out, her hand letting go of the chain.
"It's a start. He's tougher than me though" she said with a soft chuckle. "He handles it a lot better than I do I think" probably because he was somewhat used to it and, well... it was usually easier to handle what happened to yourself than what happened to those you loved.

"I'm sure he does handle it better than you do," she chuckled. "But I can't wait until he doesn't have to handle it at all. I'm sure you want that more than I do."

"Yes" Teddy squeezed her hand gently. "I want him to be happy" he was her world after all. "I hope, maybe in time, I can do that for him"

"You make him happy. I can tell without a doubt," she nodded.

"He still deserves better" she smiled softly. "But I'm trying. I really am" Teddy added with a bounce, because she was, she really was trying to be good enough. If not in his eyes, then in her own.

"Better?"

Cass tried not to frown, even with Teddy bouncing.

"You're the best thing for him."

"I want to be" smiled the starstruck little Caitiff as she chewed on her lip. "He's the best thing that ever happened to me" and she wanted to be that for him too. From now and through eternity.

Cass pulled her close, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "And wanting to be that means you'll always be what's best for him."

Teddy leaned into her, wrapping her arms around the Rose in return as she rested her head on her friend's shoulder.
"I've been in love once before... but it wasn't like this. I never felt like this for anyone else before" she said softly. "I can count my lovers on one hand heh... If Medwyn ever leaves me I don't think I'll ever want anyone else ever again. Because now that I know this feeling, I wouldn't trade it for anything..." though she didn't sound sad or upset, in fact she just sounded happy. Happy to have been given what she now had, and happy to hold onto it for as long as she could.

"You know? I think hell would have to freeze over before that man would leave you," she grinned, kissing her forehead gently. "For what it's worth, I'm right there with you."

"If it ever looks like it'll start snowing? I'll call Hell and ask if I can buy'm a new central heater" Teddy smiled brightly at her. "I'm not worried though you know? I'm just.. happy for what I have. I have a family now Cass... I've missed having a family" she really had. She just didn't often admit it to herself.

"It's a wonderful thing, isn't it?" She smiled, kissing Teddy again.

"Hey, you're part of it, so of course it is" she smiled as she gave her a light squeeze.

Well, she'd be part of it for a little while longer, anyway.

"So this means it's time to plot out the shopping trip. We'll make a night of it and go crazy! I'll bring the truck," she smiled.

"Sounds like an awesome plan" she agreed. "Shopping for both of us. On me. I got paid for my last commission in cash and they don't wanna stay in the safe" Teddy chuckled.

"Alright, sounds good!" Cass clapped her hands and laughed softly in excitement. "I'll bring my shopping game face."

"Sweet" because this? This was going to be epic.
