Owwie.... (Medwyn) - Sunflower Beach

He smiled, brushing a kiss against her forehead. "I know. I don't really blame you for this, Teddy."

"I do.." she said with an apologetic smile, brushing her fingers across the back of his hand. "But it helps that you don't"

He frowned. "I'm very unhappy that you seem to think that this is your fault somehow."

"I could've done something... I know I can. I got the power to. I just..." yeah, the whole matter of being labeled Sabbat and possibly making the situation worse. "Next time, if there is a next time, I won't hesitate. Alright?"

He frowned at her. "I'm more concerned about your welfare. Both physical and mental. I'm upset because of how upset I can see that you are."

"Hey..." she reached up, brushing a hand across his cheek before cupping it and smiling up at him. "I'm not upset anymore. I'm alright. You help so much more than you think. And Medwyn... I don't break this easily. I'm a Caitiff... I've endured much worse than this before" and probably would again. "It's not a big deal. But having you hold me makes it go away faster"

He nodded. "I know." He smiled, but it was brief. One hand brushed hair away from her face while he leaned close to brush a kiss over her forehead. "I know, baby. But that doesn't mean that I don't want to protect you, so that you don't have to be upset in the first damned place."

Teddy moved her arms around him again, letting them rest on his shoulders as she pushed herself up on her toes and just nuzzled in close.
"I know... I feel safe with you" she said softly, taking a moment o linger before talking again. "I was going to go in to the office tonight but I think I might stay home if you're okay with it. Maybe work a little, take the critters for a walk or work on the garden or something" you know, quiet things.

He smiled. "That sounds lovely. You want some help? Or would you rather me just get out of your hair?"

"I'd love the company.. if you want to stay?" she said as she turned her head to brush her lips against his neck before pulling back enough to look up at him.

He smiled, nuzzling into her shoulder when she kissed his neck. "I'd be happy to stay and keep you company. What about we go plant some flowers?"

Teddy nodded at him.
"I'd really like that" she said softly, her arms slipping down to rest her hands on his chest. "Still hoping you'll tell me about the daffodils some night" the blond added with a gentle smile. "Needn't be tonight though, just... some night"

He smiled at her. "I can tell you about that while we plant them. Sound fair?"

"Perfect... thank you" she smiled happily. "You just get some clothes on hm?" not that she minded but hey, most people preferred having clothes on when they were outside.
She brushed a light kiss to his chest and pulled back slowly with a lingering smile. "I'll wait for you downstairs"

He smiled and gave her a nod, brushing a kiss over her lips before he turned to head into the bedroom. "Won't take but a minute," he said, already moving to toss the towel into the hamper.

A minute was fine, just enough to put a small bandage over the bite wound and bounce down the stairs to a low hum under her breath. She only really stopped to pull her socks off, preferring to be barefoot while out in the garden really because, well, she could.

It was more like five minutes, but he came back down the stairs. Dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, he was reaching for her hand with a smile. He, too, had bare feet. "You ready?"

" 'course" garden work didn't really need much prep time after all, not when she already had most of the things lined up from last time she'd done some gardening.

Teddy took his hand with both of hers, seemingly having shaken whatever left over feelings had been lingering after the attacks as she looked and acted and sounded like her normal self again as she dragged him outside.

He smiled, giving her fingers a gentle squeeze. "It's a nice night for it, too. Not too warm."

She nodded again, stepping off the tiles and out onto the grass. She'd always been a city girl, but she liked this. She liked the silence and she liked the grass and she liked the ocean air. And she liked it even more because this? The silence and the comfort and the garden with all the flowers? It was theirs.

"Mhm. It's nice. I like this" Teddy said, bushing her thumb against his hand. "I love having a garden" it was quite possibly the most amazing thing ever, to have a garden outside her window.

He took her hand, brushing his thumb against her. "Then we'll need to make it just as colorful as you are, my love."

The blond chuckled, a happy smile across her lips as she looked at him.
"I'm glad you think that a good thing. Because I'm not sure I could change it" she said, reaching out to brush her fingers briefly across his cheek before dragging him towards one of the flowerbeds.

He followed her happily, his laugh quiet and just as cheerful as her own. "Please. Do I look like Victor Morton to you?" He was pretty sure that, to that guy? Color was made of the devil.

"Oh, no, no you don't" oh dear God no. "He's a bit... creepy" that wasn't too mean a thing to say was it?

He chuckled a little. "Yes. Yes, he is. I think he's allergic to both color and happiness."
