She popped it open, pulled out Abney Park, popping it into the CD player.

The drive to Orlando was both long and boring. The fact is, Florida isn't known for rolling hills and beautiful scenery. It's known to be flat and hot, and the drive to Orlando was just that -- flat, very few curves, and hot, with just a touch of muggy. Within minutes of driving into the city limits, however, it was easy to see how it became a tourist center -- the whole damned city was brightly lit and covered in bright paint -- it was meant to catch the eye and the interest.

Chances were high that if they were going to find a gang anywhere in this particular city, they would need to hit back roads toward the less-populated parts. While a tourist attraction meant that there were more people and therefore, more likely to have a gang around, the fact is that a tourist trap tended to draw cops too, to keep the families safe.

It really wasn't that hard to find. Just ignore the tourist traps, go about three blocks away, and there it was.

The sad part was, the 'disaffected youth' in the area were true gangbangers. Drugs and the like, because let's face it -- anarchy is so 1970's.

She knew that was going to be the case. So she was looking for old enough to driver, young enough to not be entirely useless. The kind that could be groomed into becoming something, and weren't already completely lost.

Very few of them could be considered a 'complete loss.' The truth is that most of them were young -- late teens, early twenties -- but none of them gave a rat's ass about politics. This isn't England, and nobody gives a damn about Joey Ramone or the Sex Pistols anymore, except Blake. And just look at that guy.

So the hunt was on for the ones that looked like they could be groomed. Fuck the politics. With the proper use of disciplines, they could be made to believe in anything. So she found a group of four or five that were far enough out on their own to be easy prey.

"Those won't do for what you need. And they're all spread out, and not really a good group."
