Seduced by song (marcus) - Dima's Appartment

"We are all cursed you know?" he said softly.

"Every single vampire made is cursed somehow. Some curses just take a little more time to show..." he whispered.

Marcus smiles, reaching up to caress Dima's cheek softly "Then it would be up to us to find some measure of comfort in those who rise to levels of importance in our lives." He leans and places a warm, affectionate kiss on Dima's forehead before pulling back some, his fingertips smooth against the stubbled flesh. "But, just remember Dima...you aren't alone in this world. I, along with your family and loved ones, will always be there for you, no matter what."

"Even when your curse fates you to hurt others constantly?" he asked looking kinda lost and helpless.

His hands hang limply at Marcus's sides where he had been holding him before. Dima looked kind of broken.

Marcus lifts Dima's chin with a single finger "Look at me Dima. I mean really, really look at me. What do you see?" His eyes were intent on Dima's, no trace of anger or hesitation, just warmth.

"My song being sung back to me." he replied honestly. His gaze level with Marcus's and though he still looked sad, it was fading. Some side of him that he rarely showed, that left just as quickly as it came. His hands gently traced up Marcus's sides once more.

"Cause it was a good song Dima. And one that you need never sing to me again. Not while I'm with you that is." His hand waves off towards the door to the apartment "Out there, it's another matter, but in here...." he looks around the room with a smile, then returns his attention back to Dima, touching his own forehead with an index finger "In here..." his hand drops to his own chest, finger touching his heart "And in here, I need never worry about anything you say to me Dima. The song applies to you as well Dima. Never forget that." He lowers his hand to Dima's chest, placing it over his heart and smiles warmly at the man.

He smiled, "Yes, and I seduced you..." he teased him taking hold of his hand and bringing it up to his lips, he nipped gently at his knuckles.


"Your turn to share..." he whispered his other hand tracing gently along Marcus's side.

Marcus chuckles softly, shivering playfully at the nip to his knuckles "Mmmhmm. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. 'Sides. You know I'm sweet and virginal, pure as the driven snow." he says with an impish expression on his face. He runs his free hand up along Dima's forearm, fingernails tracing the powerfully muscled bicep "Hmmm, sharing time is it? Let's see. Umm, did you know that I was one of the foremost hackers in the city? I've got real talent when it comes to building and breaking firewalls, building and breaking encryption and generally just getting into...anything secure. Barring anything Raz0r makes of course. I doubt I will ever have the skill to compete with her, but I'm pretty amazing if I do say so myself." He smiles, drawing his hand away from Dima's lips, taking his with it and runs it down his svelte, streamlined stomach playfully. "But that's just a mundane skill. I have real, personal stories if you'd like to hear them."

"Ah... computers." he murmured, obviously not his forte. Dima sat up with a soft sigh.

"I would rather hear about your life." he said softly. Hands wrapped around his hips lifting him from where he straddled him on the bed. Placing him next to him on the bed so that they were both sitting up facing one another. His hands fall to Marcus's knees, gently waiting for him to share a piece of himself.

He smiles then grinning as he is physically set aside and folds his hand in his lap. "I was born nearly thirty four years ago. When I was fifteen, my mother, miraculously conceived another child. She was pushing thirty five at the time, which tends to be a very dangerous age to conceive." He relates the tale the way one relates a favored story to close friends and family "His name was Brian. Oh man, he was beautiful. Big blue eyes, inquisitive and sensitive to the world around him. He got all the best parts of my parents, and none of their flaws" Marcus closes his eyes, a warm smile touching his lips as he relives the memory of his brother. After a moment, the grin fades, and Marcus sighs some "But when he was five, he started getting sick. We didn't know what to do, so we took him to the doctor." He is silent for a time, staring down at his hands "Lukemia." he says finally, offering Dima a sad smile. While this was a sad topic, he's had nearly two decades to deal with the pain of his brothers loss. He shakes his head after a moment "He was brave and strong and the best of my family. He fought with everything he had, but in the end, there was nothing he could do. The doctors did -everything- they could, and we knew it. It's what inspired me to become a doctor myself."

"I am sure he is proud of you..." Dima said softly, "Going on to become a Doctor, you know, if you wanted to.. you could more then likely still be a doctor." he said with a smile. "One of the few professions that has a night shift." he smiled his hand finding Marcus's and giving it a squeeze.

Quietly, eyes rimmed a touch red but not spilling over the edge "You know. He just had a birthday a couple months ago. It was when I first came back into the city after my change." He smiles a bit, clasping Dima's hand in his own and returning the squeeze "I got him a hotwheels car. He loved hotwheels. Had a thing for the classic muscle cars...." Marcus sighs then chuckles fondly at the memory.

It didn't seem to matter what happened Marcus kept ending up back in Dima's lap, this time he was pulled there. Dima hauled him into his lap and cradled him to his chest. Large arms wrapped around him, and he rocked him gently as he kissed his brow, oh yes, Dima understood loss.

He sat there cradled in Dima's arms, his head resting gently against his lovers chest. He sniffles some but is able to stop any real tears from falling. He's cried himself to sleep more times then he could count since his brothers death, but he'd long since made peace with it. Still it meant alot to him that Dima held him, as though shielding him from the memory. "You're an amazing man Dima." he whispers softly, inhaling Dima's scent slowly. Marcus snakes an arm around Dima's waist, and smiles, letting his eyes close for a few minutes.

Marcus is held in silence, strong arms hold him and rock him comfortingly still. Often times in life it was these little things that meant so much. The touch at just the right moment that meant the difference between hope and despair. Between just feeling wanted, and actually feeling cared for. It was the little things, like the way that Dima rested his cheek against the top of Marcus's head, or the tune he began humming softly to soothe him. A soft lullaby, one that perhaps was so old that Marcus didn't even know what it was. One hand moved in comforting circles on his back, all these actions said, 'you are safe and I will protect you '.

The message was received and as much as he was able to, he tried to reciprocate it to the rugged man, his hand running slowly up and down Dima's forearm. "This feels right Dima" he says, drawing back to smile up at him affectionately. Leaning in, Marcus presses a gentle kiss against Dima's neck, then lets his head rest there for a time.

"Isn't that my line?" he asked a hint of teasing. His hands stroking down Marcus's back and slowly curving around his hip and thigh. His hand just wresting there, comfortably.

"What is your favorite memory?" he asked gently, his lips just next to Marcus's ear.

Marcus chuckles softly against Dima's skin "Yes, but at this point I figured it was fair game..." he says, the grin easily discernable in his voice. At the question, Marcus closes his eyes and just smiles "It had to be the first time I preformed the Wieniawski Number 2 as the lead violinist. Oh Dima..." he replies softly, his eyes open and staring off towards a wall distantly. "It was amazing. The orchestra was there for me. I took center stage in this dazzeling sequined gown that glittered like a million black diamonds. The spot light was on me the entire time, while the orchestra was muted just behind me. The feelings of music thundering over to like a tangible force of power, caressing you, lifting you, and whispering promises of passion over your skin...." He trails away, lost in the memory.

He allows him to enjoy the memory, good memories are all we have sometimes after all. The good memories to see us through the hard times. He was just glad that Marcus hadn't said tonight. It would have been a bit to much for Dima to handle, as it was he was just coming to terms with the fact that what had begun as something sweet and light, was turning into something serious. And quickly. Dima sighed softly at this thought not upset per se but like a responsibility he was pretty certain he would fail at was resting squarely upon his shoulders.

The memory fades a bit, and a sudden thought occurs to him. "Dima? You're like...a million years old yeah? That means you -actually- remember the french revolution from a first hand account. YOu mentioned living in Europe most of your life, only until recently right?" There was keen interest in his voice as he asks this, seeming to have struck a favored period of time.

"Oh... you are a historian too?" he asked with a deep sigh. Not annoyance, but well partially annoyance, but the kind that as more put upon then actually being annoyed.

"Those are not good memories for anyone who lived through them Marcus, but I will answer your questions." he replied easily enough. This was not a first for him, quite obviously.

He smiles, shaking his head some "Not that important. I am a historian, but it's more to understand the mistakes our past and what lead up to them. I'm not going to badger you about it that often, and certainly not tonight" He says chuckling softly "'Sides..." he says with an impish smile, still unmoving "I can think of far better things to end an amazing night wit..."

Dima glanced down at the man in his arms with a smirk, "Oh and what would that be you siren you?" he laughed softly at his own joke, stolen fairly as his own lines had been earlier.

His grin lights up his face as he glances up at Dima "It would require us throwing off this mantle of seriousness for a time and just relaxing into something a little more" his eyes trail downward suggestively, then returns to Dima's eyes "More form fitting." he finishes, shifting to turn further towards the sexy man. His free hand raises to caress Dima's cheek for a few seconds before he stretches upward to land a soft kiss against Dima's lips.

"Only if you take me this time..." he whispered huskily against Marcus's lips. His hand stroking down Marcus's inner thigh as he spoke. A soft moan on his lips for this temptation in his arms. His tone spoke of need, was it one that Marcus could deliver however?

Dark eyes opened blazing in want, looking down into Marcus's green, "Well?" he asked as his hand teased along Marcus's hip.
