Christmas eve at the little workshop (open) - Creator's Workshop

He laughed again, linking his fingers with hers when she turned the hand over. "What's the catch?" he asked playfully. Taking another bite of egg, his brow rose. "You can't possibly be this easy to please."

"Maybe I am..." the toymaker smiled at him, her fingers still linked with his and happy to keep it that way. "To me? This is... so much more than I'd ever ask for. And a lot more than I deserve. So yes.. I am this easy to please because you've kept giving me everything I've wanted and hoped for"

He grinned at her and joked again, lifting the glass of juice to his lips for a sip. "I really need to teach you to set your standards a little higher."

Teddy bit her lip softly, giving his hand a light squeeze, still with her fingers linked with his.
"I like my standards the way they are, thank you" she smiled, poking her tongue out at him for a moment before laughing again. "You on the other hand? Hm, you might want to reconsider yours or you might find yourself stuck with me"

He started to laugh, reaching for a bit of waffle and bacon before he answered. "Really? Tell me why that's a bad thing. I've got a blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman with a hot body who is willing to make me breakfast after spending all night making me the center of her attention. I'm not sure how that's supposed to be bad?" He couldn't help it. With another sip of juice, he gently squeezed her fingers. "I'd say I'm lucky, and that I'd like to try and hold onto it as much as possible."

Okay so she couldn't help but blush a little.
"I'm yours for as long as you want me..." she said softly. "I just hope I can make you as happy as you make me" and content, and oh, that floating on a cloud feeling? She hoped she could make him feel that too.

He laughed quietly, shaking his head as he sampled bacon again. "You do, Teddy. I can honestly say I haven't felt this way in a very long time." Probably not something he should really admit, but it was true. And one thing he'd give her was the truth.

It was a good thing he wanted to be honest with her, because it was something the Caitiff needed very much. Because heart games? She didn't play those. She was honest with what she desired, what she felt, even if some things were more difficult to express in words than others. So his honesty meant a lot to her.More than he probably realized.
"You make me so happy.." she whispered, lifting his hand to her lips without looking away. So happy.. like no one had in a long time.
Her naked feet finding his under the table just so she could keep close to him even with the table between them.

His bare feet found hers, and brushed against them comfortably. That was a good word to describe it, for the ghoul. Comfortable. He smiled at her, his fingers briefly tightening against her own as he smiled at her. "I'm glad. I'm glad that I can. I worried... you know... blood bond and all."

She gave a light nod of her head, her fingers still linked with his as she caressed them with a light brush of her own.
"Bonds are strong..." she said softly. "Though... seems so are other feelings..." the blond bit her lip gently as she said it. "I was a bit worried too heh. That perhaps there wasn't room for me in your life" Teddy's fingers gave his a light squeeze. "I'm glad that there is"
Very glad in fact. Very very glad.

Her commentary seemed to intrigue him. He tilted his head, taking another drink of his juice before he answered her. "what do you mean? No room because of the bond or something else?"

"Because of the bond. Because of what I am" she said softly, her gaze drifting to their hand as her fingers played with his. "Because I don't have that much to offer you and I wasn't sure if what little I have would be good enough" Teddy still smiled though as she said it, brushing her feet gently against his. "Worried perhaps that I wouldn't be good enough"

He frowned at that. Seriously... frowned.

"What would make you think that, Teddy? That you weren't good enough or that you didn't have anything to offer me?"

She gave a light shrug of her shoulders, looking up again to meet his gaze.
"I'm just me" she smiled, sounding in no way upset about it, just stating a simple fact with which she was perfectly comfortable.
"I like being just me. But that doesn't mean it's good enough for others"

His answer was simple:

"Perhaps you should get out more."

She blinked and then chuckled. She really couldn't help it.
"Hey, I get out plenty. I'm not a complete recluse you know? Even if I'd be happy simply locking myself in here with you the rest of the night" Teddy smiled at him. "Besides.. the only person I feel a need to be good enough for is you. I don't care what anyone else might think of me as long as you'll look at me the way you do. Make me feel the way you make me feel"

He leaned close, tugging her close to him. He brought his free hand up, to run his fingers under her chin and lifted her mouth to his. "That's not a problem. But you speak as though no one has treated you well before. Like... like you're just always waiting for something to go wrong or like you're not good enough. And you are good enough, Teddy. You're perfect."

She was far from perfect, so very far from it. But it was hard to think of any kind of protest when he touched her like that,kissed her like that.
"Sorry...." she said softly against his lips. "It really has just been a very long time since I've.. felt like this. And a small part of me can barely believe this is real. That you're real..." the blond whispered as she reached up to touch her fingers to his cheek. "Yet your touch is real... your warmth is real... your words are real..." she smiled. "It can't be a dream because I woke up this evening and found you still here"

He smiled, his fingers brushing her cheeks. Over her cheek, then over her lips and down to her chin. "It's very much real. I know what you mean, though." He smiled, then leaned close to kiss her again. "It feels a little surreal, all things considered."

His breakfast was going to get cold... Though that touch? It felt far too good to be interrupted. Her lips moving against his with a softly smiling touch as her hand drifted down his arm to come to rest lightly on his wrist.
"It feels good..." she whispered, though she could've as easily be meaning his touch as the feeling of well, them, together.

Breakfast was, by and large, forgotten. He could stare into her eyes, into those blue pools, for hours. And smiling? Oh, he was more grinning like a fool. His hand in hers squeezed gently again, his eyes focusing on her as he used his free hand to caress her cheek again. "It does. I just hope I can make you happy. I just hope I can be the man you deserve me to be."

Her fingers lingered lightly at his wrist, brushing softly against his skin with a loving touch as she leaned into his caress,unable and unwilling to take her eyes off him.
"You're so much more than I deserve..." the blond whispered gently. "And you make me so happy. So very happy"

He smiled, pulling her closer. Much closer and she might as well just climb into his lap. Either way, he didn't seem to mind. "I hope you feel that way for a good, long time."

Wasn't as if she'd protest if he wanted her in his lap, the Caitiff moving smoothly around so that she could in fact climb into his lap, turning so she could put her arms around his shoulders and straddle him.
"I will..." she said softly. "I know I will. For a very, very long time..."

His hands were gentle as they decided to glide over her thighs and up to her waist. Which was small enough for his hands to almost completely encircle, all things considered. He looked up at her, into her eyes, and smiled. "That sound dangerous. What if you get tired of me?"
