Old Friends (Greer & Ren) - The Den

He growled when Greer rocked her hips in his lap. But he grinned at Ren. "It's okay ta be a perv."

"It's not that...I mean...I am...I mean...no...gah!" She bent over foward and burried her face in her hands. Yup...flustered.

He started to laugh. "Ya know there ain't nothin' ta be ashamed of, right?"

Greer looked at Ren "No really dear, I wasn't trying to flabbergast you, and you should of realized by now that we're both perv's." with a giggle. "Well at least Jim and I are."

Duhhhhh.

"I know. It's just...you gusy just sort of became a thing and it's...not like me...to...ya know...invade things." The words were muffled by her hands.

He stared. "Invade what?"

Greer looked just as puzzled, looking at Ren and then ah "Oh you think you'll mess us up?" trying to be helpful.

"I don't think that's possible." She said honestly. "I just don't want there to ever be suspician." She really was still a very sweet girl.

With a raised eye brow, then a loud whisper "He's awfully honest." with a nod to her then leaned back into Jim.

Having pulled herself mostly together she sat back up. "I know he is. It's more that I don't want anyone to think I'm being predatory or anything." At least not in this way.

He laughed. "She'd tell me if it was a problem." Because he figured she would.

She nodded her head yes looking at Jim with a "is there some thing I should know look." but not saying a thing.

He tilted his head and gave her a questioning look. He had no idea what she meant.

Greer looked back at Ren "Is there a reason you think they're would be an issue or are you just being cautious....." she was confused but then again it had been that kind of night.

"No! I'm just being cautious and probably silly about it all." She settled back in the chair, wrapping her arms around herself, embarrassed and feeling a bit silly.

Greer looked at Jim, he'd either make it better or change topics.

He smiled at Ren. "Ain't nothin' ta feel silly for. I appreciate ya concern, but wouldn't offer an' tease if it was gonna be an issue." He winked at Ren.

She peered at them both. "I just...kinda...got lonely and...I learned a lot but people were distant and...I don't want to create issues for the people I care about...but...I..." She blurted out the words. "Sorry." She suddenly found her feet very interesting.

Greer looked at her "You need a good toss don't you?" bluntly asked and watching Ren with concern.

She swallowed hard and nodded though she didn't look up.

Greer looked at Jim, then back at Ren waiting to see if she'd talk instead of stare at the floor.

He tilted his head and watched her. "Ren. Sweetheart. You all right?"

Greer moved Jim and Ren were better friends than they'd ever been, and she was looking a bit like she needed a friend.

"Yeah. Just embarrassed."
