He kissed her slowly. Then rolled to his side with his arms around her. He closed his eyes and smiled. "You're somethin' else, darlin."

A muffled chuckle in his chest and a relaxed happy woman in his arms.

He smiled and snuggled her close. He kissed the top of her head. "Thank you."

She hugged him tightly, nuzzling again into him, "No thank you." and again hugged him.

He laughed softly. He took the nuzzles and the hugs. "What for?"

"What were you thanking me for?" with a teasing tone to her voice, still happily curled into him and a soft happy tune she was humming.

He smiled as he played with her hair with one hand. The other held her against him. "For comin' back."

"I really wanted to." she says softly "I was trying that I know"

He smiled. "Is that what ya meant when ya said 'tryin' to me?"

She looks up at him "I did what?" confused by his words.

He was instantly alert. "I heard ya whisperin' ta me. A lot. Mostly singin', in Spanish. But then I heard ya say 'tryin' and I went out lookin' for ya. Every place I could think of."

"Would you believe I think I fell down the rabbit hole?" with a sigh "I won't go into it but yeah the white streak is a "prize" from my time there I think. But so much is foggy, dream like and chaotic." stroking his back to calm him down.

He nodded. "Don't go chasin' rabbits, then."

"I really don't want to again, it was like at one point my Abuela was there then my father and well yeah. Things are really fuzzy." looking at him "So no more chasing rabbits." leaning up and kissing him softly.

He kissed her and held her close. "Good. Don't wanna lose ya to a rabbit."

She hugged him tightly and then nods "Don't wish to be lost to one again...."

He kissed the top of her head. "Happy ta help keep ya safe from 'em, if ya need me to."

She laughs softly "So the next time I'm starting to go down the rabbit hole call?" looking at him.

He smiled and kissed her again. "Please."

"I will probably do it my way you realize this right?" kissing him back.

He moaned softly as she kissed him, then smiled at her. "I'm okay with that. So long as ya call me."

'Probably not with a phone." kissing him back and gently rubbing noses.

His head tilted. "Ya wanna let me know how I can talk to ya when ya do that? How ya might be able to hear me?"

She looks at him "I can't teach you." biting her lip "I have to be in darkness the same time you are." and thinks more "Let me think on that one."

He nodded. "No worry, baby. Didn't know if ya knew a trick or somethin' I could use ta actually communicate."
