Crickets (open)

He laughed again.

"Well, yeah. But since it's my cousin's bar, I'll be able to see you."

"True but your normally working, studying and that's it." With a wink at him and waiting for him to finish his smoke.

He smiled.

"Yeah, that's true. But I can make time."

"Good." with a grin at him and a relieved sigh. "When your ready I am."

He nodded and crushed out his cigarette, then turned to gesture with one hand.

"After you, madame."

"Right this way." with a grin as she headed back into the lab, locking the door behind them and heading back to the room to finish her last shift.

He followed her back inside, waiting for her patiently as she locked the door behind them. He was a gentleman like that -- making sure that she safely made it back inside.

Once back into the lab, she smiled at him, then headed back to work on her paper with glances at him but finishing her paper.

Once they were safely inside -- he headed straight back to his computer and the work he had been doing. He didn't glance up at her, but kept his attention on his work. There's a time for work and a time for socializing and right now was definitely work time.

She worked on her paper, starting to proof read, not happy after re-readign the first few pages, but looking at the time not sure she could re-work the whole page with a serious frown.

He, on the other hand, had a pencil stuck between his teeth and was concentrating on the open book in front of him, the paper in his notebook and the computer screen. Often, classes were like juggling several bowling balls and he was trying to just keep up.

She started to try and edit her paper. She didn't even hear her replacement arrive, due to her working as well, and the "relief" cleared his throat "Hey grouchy girl time to head out." with a geeky smile at her.

She jumped, blinked then nodded to the guy "Hey Matt, let me clock out and then I'll be back to put my stuff away."

He glanced up when he heard voices, then just smirked a little and went back to work.

She clocked out, then put her lap top away, and gathered her books up. She quietly moved to his table, "you staying?" she said softly.

He glanced at the time first before he answered. Then he shook his head.

"No, I should probably be heading home. Want me to give you a ride?"

"If you don't mind I'd love a ride." with a hopeful look at him.

He chuckled.

"I don't mind. I have to drive by your place anyway to get home."

"Then I would like a ride." with a smirk at him while she waited for him to get his stuff cleaned up.

It didn't take him all that long to pack up his gear. Then he was tossing the bag over his shoulder and gesturing for her to lead the way out into the parking lot.

"Is that the guy?"

"No he's nice you'll know the other." With a laugh walking to the pArking lot.

He laughed as he walked beside her toward his SUV.

"I'm not going to like this guy, am I?"

'No not at all.' with a grin at him "But he could surprise me." with a no way look on her face as she glanced at him.

He laughed.

"Okay, okay. I promise that I'll try to not punch him."

"Thank you. I'd rather not have him call the cops on you." with a grin at him and a soft laugh. "But I think I'd pay money to watch you punch him."

He laughed.

"I only promised to try to not punch him. I didn't say that I wouldn't do so."
