North End Patrol (Killinger)

Amid the outskirts of the domain, near the more industrial section, King Raven stuck to the low lying rooftops, using the height to provide a better vantage point as he patrolled the city.

The night, itself, appeared to be an ordinary night. From the rooftops, King Raven could see that those on the third shift at some of the buildings in this part of town were well into their routines. A couple of men in blue overalls were hanging out underneath a flickering overhead light, having a couple of cigarettes on their break. They were grousing about some hoodlum having tagged the side of one of the warehouses in their little complex with red and black paint.

"Yeah, instead of loading the trucks on time, I'm gonna be stuck trying to get this damn graffiti off the wall. Shipments will be late in the morning. You know it's the third time in five days some asshat's done this? It ain't like it's art," said the olive complected man standing right under the light.

"Why don't your boss just make the janitorial crew do it? That seems like such a waste. It ain't your job," said the other.

Janitorial crew's gone by nine o'clock and he thinks it'd be worse if his bosses came in for inspections the next day and saw it. One, itty bitty, little mark on the side of D Building shouldn't make much of a difference. But, what do I know. I'm just a night shift crew manager."

As silently as possible for a kindred of his age and skill, King Raven made his way over the rooftops to D building in order to get a look at the "art work" in question.

Raven's eyes narrowed on the symbol. He'd seen the exact same symbol before, along the piers in Seattle, and others that were similar. That particular symbol had shown up on buildings which housed Kindred interests.

Silently he got as close to the symbol as possible to take a few pictures. His photos weren't art, and undoubtedly Cassiel might cringe at the lack of talent. But for now, all he carried about was capturing the relevant information. In addition to the few photos he took of the symbol, he committed the design, in it's simplicity, to memory.

After he'd finished, he returned to his position within the shadows, keeping a silent watch to see if anything changed over the course of the next hour or so.

Raven moved further back away from the prying eyes and ears as he said "Call Watchtower."

Then he listened to the headset as it rang on the other end while he waited for Raz0r to answer.

It answered on the second ring.

"What are you looking for, Raven?"

"I need to know if you can hijack the video surveillance feed from a system and record the next 24 hours. We may have Hunters."

She could practically hear the capitalization in his tone. Also, I need to know who owns this complex. The same Hunter symbol turned up on multiple Kindred interests in Seattle about two years ago."

He could here the tapping of keys as her fingers flew over the keyboards. (Yes, plural)

"Shouldn't be a problem. I'll get back to you."

And she hung up.

After that point, Raven began to move to surrounding buildings, checking for any similar tags or symbols left on other buildings.

That had been the only one, peculiar as it was.

The text message arrived a few minutes later.

Piper Aircraft>Sultan of Brunei. Mean anything to you?

The return text didn't look good.

After a year, the Sultan's personal assistant and financial avisors were both fired following black mail and embezzling charges. It came to Kindred attention because these two were the Servants of a Nos. Said Nos was dusted roughly six months ago. The prevailing theory is 'spontaneous combustion' since then Kindred activity has dwindled to next to nothing in the muslim state of Brunei. Information through the church says that someone, possibly the Sultan, called in a Hunter known as The Archangel. He has a spotless reputation, a perfect kill record. We may have a problem.
