He laughed softly.

"Well, if you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me."

"Oh, I think I have a good enough idea of things. There was this little fight over who 'owned' me or whatever when I first got involved and I had to learn things quick."

His brows rose.

"Really? A fight? I take it that Griselda won?"

"I chose Griselda. The others... it was stupid. I'm not something to be owned."

He smiled at her.

"Humans as a general rule are not something to be owned. However, vampires tend to see it differently."

"Vampires are just like humans. They shouldn't see themselves as different." She said with a frown.

"They are their brothers and sisters."

He nodded.

"That may be, but due to the vampiric nature giving those creatures powers and other such things, they see themselves as above humans."

"They are tainted souls. They have power, yes, but they more than pay for it. I feel bad for vampires."

He laughed.

"No need to. Most of us don't feel badly for ourselves."

"I feel bad for them. Most don't even realize the true nature of their state. They just see power. But, ya. I'm glad you are at ease with what you are."

He laughed softly.

"It's my greatest strength, being comfortable with my vampiric nature."

"That is good then... not having it gnaw at you and make you feel aweful all the time."

He smiled.

"Nothing makes me feel that way."

No really... nothing.

"... really?" Now that was more alarming to Emily. She felt aweful about... anything. And for good reason.= most times. Not feeling bad means he's either a saint or he just doesn't care he's doing abd things.

He nodded.

"Really. I am beyond the capacity for feeling guilt. Of any sort."

Then... well, right then, he smiled at Emily. Tilted his head with it, even.

"Uh... oh... really? Why?" She asked, now stiffening. She felt that little ball of faith inside her rising to the surface, ready to spring into action.

He smiled again.

"My soul was damned centuries ago. I've actually embraced it."

This time, he stepped closer to her.

"Anyone can be redeemed. You shouldn't have given up..." She took a step back and raised her hand in front of her, not at him, just ready. It looked ridiculous, unless you knew what she could do with a gesture.

Which he didn't.

"Oh, Emily. I didn't give up. I just took hold of what was truly important."

Now the palm of her hand was raised, facing him.

"What is that?" She asked in a squeek.

He tilted his head the other way.

"My own destiny."

"You're destined to be damned? God wouldn't want that for anyone." Her hand, still facing him shook.

He came a little closer, reaching for her hand.

"How do you know what God wants?"

She jumped back again, her apocalyptic form, bleeding through, her skin was beginning to glow, a flash of power in her eyes.

"Stay back! I know because I am his child!"

Have you ever seen a vampire cream his pants? Well, you have now. And when I say cream, I don't mean that he wet himself in fear. His face turned rather orgasmic. He sucked in a breath and looked at her, his hands reaching for her.

"Oh... oh, lovely, you're beautiful... touch me? Please?"

He actually meant it. He was in awe of her.
