She nodded.

"I have jars in the kitchen."

Areron drained her drink and then went to the kitchen.

"It's funny how used to cutting ourselves we get.... isn't it?" She said as she got a knife from the block.

She laughed and brought out three jars, each one would hold a pint.

"It is. Our behavior in mortals would seem destructive."

"It would and yet for us, it's just another night on the job." She cut her wrist and willed her blood to flow from the wound into the first jar.

"But then against, maybe it is self destructive still? When I went crazy, multiple personality disorder, I cut myself, a lot, because I thought I deserved it."

She nodded.

"It can be, oui. And some would say that giving your blood over to a Tremere is the ultimate in self destructive."

"Well I AM Tremere. So it should be standard practice in a way."

She filled the remaining cups and healed the cut.

She chuckled.

"True. I'm the one who's crazy for having given Victor my blood."

"Yes, because the man is insane. Brilliant, but insane. I love it." Areron smiled and adjusted her sleeve over her wrist again.

"He's a visonary."

She chuckled and kissed the girl's head.

"He is. It's why I hitch my horse to his carriage. Now, shall we watch a good movie with a twisted ending and then head to bed?"

Oh Henrietta was wrapping Areron around her little finger expertly. Areron beamed.

"That sounds so lovely!"

She smiled and led the way back into the living room after placing the blood in the fridge.

"What genre would you like?"

"Phycological horror... Like maybe Apt Pupil?"

She nodded.

"I have that. Can you eat real food?"

"Yes! I love it."

She smiled.

"The movies are kept in that book shelf. Go find it, while I make popcorn. You have a favorite flavoring?"

"I've never had any flavoring other than butter. Are there others? Oh! Like kettle corn?" Areron asked as she went to go find the movie.

She laughed.

"I was thinking more white cheddar, ranch, and perhaps garlic."

"Mmm, what's your favorite? I'm willing to try."

She laughed.

"Ranch it is. Start the movie and get settled on the couch. I'll be right back with the popcorn, and a bottle of a nice sweet Riesling."

Areron nodded and popped the movie in and took a seat on the couch. This was what having a friend was like, she suddenly realized. A cold blooded, friend who delighted in causing pain and chaos as much as Areron, maybe even more. A mentor who gave her direction and advice so she didn't screw up as much, who called on her to help and trusted her to carry out the task. Someone who listened to her woes and didn't call her silly, who helped her solve her problems. Someone who didn't make Areron feel ashamed for being who she was.

And all this right when Griselda and her seemed to be getting closer, though they still had a long way to go, Griselda was her sire after all and Areron loved her. This was going to get complicated. But Areron vowed at that moment on the couch to ensure that she would never have to betray either woman.

A very few minutes later she came in with popcorn and a bottle of the sweet wine. She set it down on the table and curled up on the couch with her feet tucked to the side. She put an arm around the littler woman and tucked her in close, pulling the popcorn into her lap.

"This is the way to spend an evening in."

"Yes. Something I haven't done since... I was alive." Areron said, choking up a little. She cursed herself, and stopped talking while she got her emotions in order.

She kissed the top of her head and grew silent as the movie rolled on. Eating popcorn, drinking wine, and cuddling. That was what was in order for the evening.

Areron loved the movie. The slow acceptance of the young boy of his darker nature really hit home for her. She almost didn't mind in the end when they got caught and were stopped.

As the credits rolled, she hugged Areron tight.

"Ready for bed? Think you're calm enough to sleep?"
