Visions of Sugarplums (Elizabeth) - Darius and Crew

He leaned over and kissed the top of her head.

"Then you will beg for me and I will absolve you of your sins."

She tightened her hold on him.

"Is there anything I can do for you, sir."

"At the moment, rest. Just rest. I will keep you safe."

She nodded and her eyes closed. Her breathing slowed, and she actually relaxed. Soon, she began to hum softly.

He continued to pet her. Much like one would pet a kitten. His fingers stroked her hair and he held her close, letting her rest against him. At least, until sunrise.

Come sunrise, she kissed his cheek and went to gather her things. When the sun set again, she was in her room, surrounded by her things. Her kitten in her lap.
