Instant Activity - Freehold

As soon as the mental call came in, she was moving.  As were the members of her court.  Weapons were being placed where they could be easily gotten to, fortifications were going up.  They were preparing for a siege.

And she went hunting her Knight.

Mike is found sitting under a tree. Scratching his head he looks at his phone waiting for it to do something.

"Clara my love, I think I mite be in trouble."

She nodded.

"I know you are, love. But you are mine, and I'll protect you to my last breath. Unfortunately, this means that for some time, you will not be leaving the freehold."

Which had grown over the past few months, and was now a village surrounded by a tall wall.

He climbs to his feet.

"I want to help with the defenses. I want to help defend my home with the woman I love."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around him.

"I know, love. And that is what you shall do. But it must be within these walls."

He nods his head.

"I can do that. I'm going to need a sword or a trident. I'm trained with both."

She nodded.

"You will have your pick of both."

He nods his head and take a deep breath.

"I knew this day would come. I was just hoping it wouldn't for a couple of 100 years."

She kissed him.

"Areron is a good ally. A good friend. She has given us the warning we need. But none must know that it came from her."

He wraps his arms around her and hold her tight.

"I agree. She has been nothing but a big help."

She nodded.

"She will have a place in my court for this."

He turns and over looks the area.

"We have a lot of work to do. And from what I was told some one is already on her way. I don't know if she is friend of foe yet."

He presses some buttons on his phone and places it up to his ear.

"First lets see if I can fix this so there is no killing at all."

She nodded.

"You deal with that. I'm going to make sure that we can survive a siege if we have to."

She kissed his cheek and walked away, though she nodded to a burly troll who stood near Mike. Obviously, they knew what vampires could do, and if he was summoned, the Troll would stop him from leaving the freehold.

Mike walks around the village for a while thinking of a plan. Then starts walking to the exit of the freehold. He moves with a quick pace.

The troll threw his hammer at the kindred's feet, knocking him to the ground. Then he pounced the man, pinning him to the ground while screaming for the gates to be closed.

Mike kicks and flails trying to escape.

"Let me go!"

Carver wasn't going to let him move. Clara ran towards him, to catch his face.

"Mike, my love, where are you going?"

He turns to Clara.

"I think Chase is calling me. He mite have some good news I have to go."

She growled.

"And he calls like this? No."

She dug through his pants and grabbed his phone, dialing Chase.

Mike still trying to get free and failing at it. Waits for Clara's phone call to end.

Mike looks closely at Clara.

"My love what is it my sire wants?"

She hung up.

"He wants to make sure you don't die. But I can do that better than him."

He nods his head.

"So you know what we are going up aggenst. Griselda is thousands of years old and is very power full. From what I've been told she died once and has come back to life. We need to be extremely careful if we go down this road."

She nodded.

"And your Sire can show up here and talk like a civilized person. Now, love, I'm going to chain you up."
