Mike opens the door and steps into his home. "Clara you my love?" He takes off his jacket and hangs it on the coat rack.

She peaks out from the back room.

"Mike, my darling. Did you have a good day?"

He turns and gives her a smile.

"It was great. I was able to get some answers I was looking for."

She came forward, wrapping her arms around his neck and giving him a welcoming kiss.

"What answers were those?"

He places his hands on her hips and returns the kiss.

"The answers I needed about offer you made me. To make me human again. And I think I'm ready to take you up on that offer."

He holds her tightly.

"Do you need time to prepare?"

He shakes his head and takes her by her hands.

"No I'm ready to do this when ever you are."

She smiled and drew back from him.

"Come. I want this to be special."

He smiles and lets her lead the way as he follows behind her.

"Lead on my love."

She lead him out the back to a prepared circle. She placed him in the center.

"Stand here, my love."

He stands in the middle of the circle.

"Will this hurt?"

She gave a soft look to him as she walked to the outside of the circle.

"I'm going to change something that is fundamental to who you are. I don't know what will happen."

He takes a deep breath and looks at her with love in his eyes.

"I understand. I want you to know I trust you with my life."

"I will not betray that trust."

And then she began to sing.

He stands still in the circle and waits for the magic to happen.

It's subtle. Very subtle. Almost imperceptible. But the need to breath came back to him, the need to blink, came back to him. It was unconscious now. But he still felt the strength of what he was, the hunger of what he was, inside him.

Mike takes in a deep breath and opens his eyes.

"Is it safe for me to move now?"

"Yes, my knight. It is safe. You are changed, though not as much as I had hoped."

He walks over to her and wraps his arms around her.

"It's a good start my love."

"You should be able to watch the sunrise with me, now."

"I would love to watch the sunrise with you."
