She smiled.

"You asked what would get you in trouble. I'm telling you. Areron."

"Ah " he smiled. "I've heard some things about her"

She smiled.

"I'm sure that you have."

"What makes her so dangerous?"

She smiled.

"If you knew about her, you'd know the answer to that question already."

"I have heard enough about Seattle to be concerned. " he said after a moment.

She smiled.

"Then you can answer your own question."

"Any chance you have more information than the basic ambush story and her supposed motives ?"

"Depends entirely on what it is that you want to know."

"Why did mayek help her ? Why was there such opposition to Nobody ?"

She seemed thoughtful for a moment, then pursed her lips.

"Mayek is another topic entirely. As for opposition to Nobody...? Some would say he would end the world if he could."

"The bell? Was he going to ring it, or was she jealous he held that much power ?"

Her eyes darkened.

"It was never about jealousy."

"What was it then? I'm trying to understand this danger, especially since I have done business with her. "

She shook her head.

"It was also never about the damned bell."

"What was it then ?"

She smiled.

"Nothing I'm willing to talk about for free."

"Of course " he grinned. "What are you looking for ?"

She smiled.

"Depends on what it's worth to you."

He licked his lips and pondered. This was always the fun part of the dance after all.

"I suppose it's more a question of what I can offer you, as an elder Tremere doubtlessly has most, if not all of what a young Ventrue can offer, plus we've had this conversation before. It is worth a good bit to me. I can give you a delightful little combination of disciplines the Anarchs have mastered that will prevent a person from being knocked from their standing position by blows or impact. Most useful."

Her head tilted.

"Explain to me how that is useful?"

"If you are struck with an object that would ordinarily knock you to the ground during a fight, you will not fall. A blow to the body that would cause you to fall no longer will."

He stood up and set his glass down. "Hit me"

She shook her head.

"If I hit you, I risk doing enough damage to put you to sleep again. That said; I can see how that might be useful."

He sat back down. "It is said if you are strong enough, even an automobile will be deflected by you. This requires both presence and fortitude. "

She snorted quietly.

"I've both in spades."
