"I'd like to meet more people. Why doesn't he like the sheriff?"

The words that came out of the little four-year-old's mouth gave proof of her age:

"They used to be lovers. But she faked her death and is now lovers with somebody else. Unca Ethan's not happy about it."

"Mmmm I could see how that would be a problem. But with vampires you'd end up living eternity with someone. If they were really special I don't see that as a problem. But I could see cheating being a problem." Estela felt a little sad about that. After all she was pretty much alone, too.

She shook her head, her curls bouncing.

"I don't think it's that. Unca Ethan's a Nosferatu; they don't get to be in love."

"Well then I'd guess it was a mutual colaberation then, more for her good then his." She realized how cold that sounded but then, love gone bad is just that.

She shrugged.

"No idea. But now you know why you shouldn't mention the Sheriff to Unca Ethan. He gets grumpy."
