Picking Up the Dark One (Christine, Michelle) - Lowrey Manor

It wasn't long before the small redhead was knocking at the front door.

The door was opened by a man that was the epitome of Butler. He gave a nod to the woman.

"Ms. Tahan, I presume?"

She nodded with a smile.

"Yes. Is Miss Lowrey available?"

He nodded and moved aside.

"If you will follow me. She and her guest are up in her office."

He'd been around the block a few times. Not even a hesitation before the word guest.

She offered the man a smile.

"Certainly. Thank you."

He led her up the stairs and gave a perfuntuary knock on the second door on the right. Then he opened the door and stepped inside.

"Ms. Tahan to see you, ma'am."

The room was filled with moving shadows. They weren't getting in the way, they were just there. And four shadowy tentacles held the staked through the back Lasombra three feet from the ground.

In the center of the room, just standing there as the shadows danced around her feet, was Christine.

"Thank you for coming, Sheriff."

The butler waited for the new comer to enter, then closed the door behind himself as he left.

She stepped inside. Not at all perturbed by the shadows that seemed to move and be filled with life, she smiled at the Ventrue Primogen.

"Can I get a quick run-down of why this happened, other than she was an idiot?"

She gave a short nod. But that was all her movement.

"She does not see the problems that she has caused. Does not see that where you may do things, she may not. And then, to make matters worse, another Demon walked into my office while we were talking, proving my point that this was stupid, and she still blamed me instead of herself for the incident."

She turned to look at the staked woman.

"She has stated that she no longer needs representation in the Camarilla, as she is going another way. That is when I staked her."

Her face turned dark.

"She is choosing to leave the Camarilla entirely?"

She shrugged.

"I am not sure. I did not stop to ask. I simply staked her and called you."

She frowned.

"Well, that will be an interesting question to ask. Does she understand at all the ramifications of what she has done?"

Again, she shrugged.

"I do not know, nor do I care."

She nodded.

"Very well. Thank you for your assistance, Primogen Lowrey. I'll take her now."

She nodded, and the tentacles carried the staked woman to the Sheriff.

"You're very welcome."

She held the woman almost gently in her arms.

"Is there anything else?"

She shook her head.

"No, Sheriff. Have a pleasant evening."

She nodded.

"You as well, Primogen Lowrey."

She turned to make her way out of the office, Michelle cradled protectively in her arms.

The door closed behind her. And then there wasn't another sound from out of the office. Richard was waiting to open the door for the small redhead, but he offered no comment.

She did give Richard a nod and a smile.

"Thank you again," she said to the butler, since he opened the door for her. She was still polite.

Now what to do with the Lasombra? Dear Lord.
