| ~"You wouldn't say that, if you knew exactly what I did to her father."~
She kept the soft smile on her face, but shook her head at Sarah. "I don't think so, young lady. You promised. Bedtime, now. Go give Emily a hug and kiss, then back to be and sleep."

| Emily's face visibly paled at what Michelle hinted at, but didn't say anything.
Sarah pouted but did as she was told and hugged Emily and Michelle then laid her head on the pillow and made a show of closing her eyes.
"There we are, sweet heart. Have good dreams." Emily said getting up and moving out to the living room. "Michelle and I are right out here, so don't you worry. You're safe."
Sarah nodded, opening an eye a little to watch them go.

| Michelle obviously pretended nothing had happened. She gave the girl a big hug, a soft kiss, then slowly got up..looking back at her with a smile, then headed off with Emily.
~"I am most definitely evil, but only when dealing with those who deserve it. Like the disgusting pig of a father... let us just say, he got a taste of what Hell has in store for him."~
Her expression did not change, even in the slightest. Her tone was even, and calm... hinting that the dealing of the father, had not phased her in the slightest.

| (( OOC can't do colors at home ))
~"I won't say he didn't deserve whatever you did, but I can't share in such punishments. I am a being of thought. Performing such acts...I could become a true demon if I am not careful. I understand sometimes that's what needs to happen though. I do not judge you for it. I trust you to do what is needed."~
"Night." Sarah said as Emily quietly closed the door.
Emily said out loud, "You do what you must and protect what you think is important and I will always support you in any way I can."

| She nodded, slightly. It bothered her, that the dark side of her obviously caused this creature a bit of discomfort. Truly. "I try to be a creature of conscious. But some things, I cannot turn a blind eye to. Especially with how terrible mortal punishment systems are. If I had let him go into the hands of the authorities... he likely would have been back on the street, within hours... looking to silence Sarah." she shook her head. "I could not let that happen He had to die."
She pretty much whispered all of this, moving to the bed and flopped down on it, on her back. Her hair spilled out around her, on the bed. She sighed, softly, shutting her eyes... becoming lost in thought for a few quiet moments. "I want to stay here.. with you two, until we get this building sorted out." she muttered, almost to herself. "I can delay the shipment of my things, until a place is purchased.. then we can move in early, and work on it from within." Yeah.. she was pretty much thinking out loud.

| Emily flopped on the bed face down. She talked half muffled be the comforter.
"You don't need to explain yourself to me. Death was only brought into this world because God wanted it to be so. It's practically ordered by him. It's why I rebelled. Death was too great a punishment. But here I am and here is the world. Now my only goal is to make the lives I touch the best I can. Life is too short for anything less."
She laid there quietly while Michelle made plans.
"Do you not like your roommate?"

| "It is not a simple case of if I like her, or not. More of.. can I trust her?" She signed. "She is a very very old vampire. Granted, not nearly as old as you likely are... but ancient, to me. I am but a hundred and fifty. And elder, in out terms... but she... old." She rolled to her side, to face the woman. "The older we get, the less in touch with humanity we become. I must admit, I have .. no actual humanity left within me. I could perform great attrocities, without so much as blinking an eye." she said as a statement of fact, but definitely not bragging.
"But that is not to say I do not feel. I feel a great much. I care, about things worth caring about. You and Sarah... Kelly. You are all worth it. I guess you could say, my power is not in my condition, but I feel it comes from the connections I make. The lives, I help, that are worth helping. It is really, the only thing that keeps me grounded. Keeps the Abyss, in check."
She reached out, lightly toying with the woman's hair, absently, in thought. "The vast majority of my clan, loses themselves within the darkness. They let the cold... the absense of light.. consume them. I refuse to look at it, as such. I think... I was made to do something different, with my understanding of the Abyss. I feel, that it is my duty to undrstand it, as fully as I possibly can.. to be prepared for it, when the end days come to be." She twirled a strand of the woman's hair, around a finger. "So that... I might try to protect certain lives, from it. I do not think that I can master it. That is foolish.. but ... maybe, just maybe, I can learn how to survive it, when it returns to this earth. COrrect me if I am wrong, but it seems.. before there was light, there was the Abyss.. and when the light is gone, the Abyss will remain. I have to prepare for that, not just myself, but those I choose to care about."
She sighed again. "Maybe I am wrong... maybe the effort is foolish.. pointless... but I have to try. I think I would not be a proper Keeper, if I didnt, and my existance would be meaningless."

| "I may be as old as the earth itself, but I don't remember it. Not yet. You can think of me as ancient beyond belief, only as old a Emily, since her memories are all I have, or, you can even think of me as only a few weeks old. Since I possessed Emily. In many ways I'm just a child compared to your 150 years."
"It's worth trying to save everyone. We can do it. It seems like too much, but we have all time to do it. We can gather other people to support us. I know a couple fallen like myself who want to better this world. If we banish those who would oppose us and strive to make little differences every day, then who is to say we can't do it?"
"I don't know anything about the end of the world. Only God could do such a thing. I can say, his heavenly host, the ones who didn't disobey, are no where to be found. Me and mine are all that is left of his influence."

| "I know we cannot save everyone. I am not delusional, on that..."
Michelle blinked... "Did you just tell me, there are no Angels in Heaven?" Because, really, she pretty much mentally came screeching to a hault.

| "I just know what I've been told and what I see. There's no angels here. They could easily be out in some corner of some heavenly realm somewhere, but they haven't been here on earth. Not for a very very long time, judging by the state of things."
"There are no gaurdian angels, no angels of death to ferry souls. No one." She flipped over on her back and frowned.
"Why would God abbandon this world? I've been in the darkness for so long, I've missed so much. I wish I knew what happened."

| She sat there, in the absolutely stillness and silence that a corpse can provide. Unblinking... yet kind of wide eyed. A deepset frown on her lips.
It was a while later, that she finally moved. She sat up, a very determined look upon her face. "The humans are not without guardians angels. You are one... you will do what you can, and though I am no celestial, consider myself one. More of an angel of vengence. I shall punish the wickedness of those that attempt to harm our... flock." her eyes were hard. The news from an angel, that god had abandoned this world... that was really hard to swallow. The very knowledge of it, chewed at her soul more than the Abyss ever could.
She shook her head lightly, though at what, one could only guess. "If the humans are left to their own devices... they are doomed." She sighed, giving a frustrated groan. "This can't be right.... abandoned? Surely not..."

| "Yes, he told us to love Man above all things, even himself and he told us to obey him without fail. The problem is, to obey him, we must love man above all things, but if we truly loved man, we should give them the best of things. We betrayed his commands to never show ourselves to our most loved of creations and he turned his back on us. His first children, thrown down into the dark of the abyss, stripped of his light..." Her voice monotone, like she was in a trance, but her growing rage still seemed to convey itself.
"We return to find a world empty of his light, of faith, a world on the verge of self destruction, where Men die all around us. Life is cheap here. I find half our number has forgotten why they fell, they prey on man and revel in vice. I find the 'loyal' host are no where to be found. They do not watch man, they do not ferry souls, they do not watch the heavens and the stars. They are gone."
She went quiet, seething for a moment. She tried to crush down her rage. Her hurt. But mostly her guilt. She breathed heavily.
"But yes, I have come to the same conclusion Michelle. If he will not be here for his children. We will be. We will make this world good again. We will bring faith and righteousness back to this world."
"There are angels of death, Michelle, just as there are angels of life, such as myself. God is indeed vengeful. His vengence is all around us."

| "Mihr..." she whispered... her voice nearly trembling. Head hanging down, dark sheet of hair cascading to cover the features of her face. "I.. I cant... this is... too much.." and a very distinct smell hit the room, accompanied by the sudden splash of a single crimson drop upon the pale color of her hand. "I thought.. I mean.. saving a couple of dozen... I can do that... but a whole state... a contenent... the world?" she ever so slightly shook her head, face still obscured by the hair upon her face, another crimson drop landed on her hand. "That is too much... how can we ever do that?" | |

| Mihr expanded her comforting aura around Michelle allowing a little bit of her celestial nature to show through. She rolled over and hugged Michelle.
"Don't think about it like that. You'll kill yourself if you think about it like that. We have to deal with it one person at a time. Help Sarah, watch her grow up and she will go one to do good things too. These things can spread. We have eternity, Michelle."
Mihr herself felt the weight of the ages she had been imprisoned. All the lives she wasn't watching. All her shepardless charges alone in this cold dark world. She needed to believe should could make a difference or she'd lose herself.

| She softly shook her head. "Its not that easy, Mihr." Though she did not shy away from the embrace. Actually, she leaned into it, a hand coming up to wipe at her eyes. "We can do right by Sarah, but for what? FOr her to begin to live... then have her light stripped away from her, by some asshole with a gun? Some drunk driver on the street? There is nothing lasting, in that." she shook her head.
"Maybe we start out small, but we must think big, Mihr. IF we want to truly make a difference in this forsaken world... it has to be so much more."

| Mihr shook her head and brushed Michelle's hair out of her face, surprised at the blood coming from her eyes. She wished her healing powers worked on Michelle, but her abilities seemed to roll off of her like water. Michelle was dead and her power over life couldn't touch that.
"If I had what I used to have I could scoop Sarah away from the car or make the gun misfire. I am limited by my fleshy body however. A limitation I can never overcome." Emily said, her heart sinking.
"What can we do other than make the changes we can? There is no end for me. There is only here and the abyss. I cannot die. If I have to make a choice, I'd choose fighting a losing battle every day of my life rather than go back there. I think you would to."
"Do you have some kind of idea in mind?"

| She wiped the blood away, and brushed it off onto her jeans. Sure, it left streaks of blood, but she would just buy another pair. "I dunno..." she said, in almost a defeated before she even started type of tone. She quietly shifted her position, to lay and lean against the 'demon' next to her. She acted so familiarly, without really even knowing the girl... thing.
"How do you know, what these other... Fallen.. are telling you the truth? Demons lie, don't they? How can you be sure, they are even of the same mind as you?" started to snuggle on into the woman.

| Emily snuggled up, big wet tears welling up in her own eyes. It was easy to feel hopeless.
"I have a good sense for liers, can't lie myself, but I can spot it pretty good. They could be lieing though...or they just don't know. They might not see what they are expecting to see, but things could have changed so much that maybe, that's not how God is influencing the world anymore. Maybe angels aren't flying around anymore. I just don't know. I can only say what I see. What I feel."

| She looked up to the girls face, laughing in that 'im giving a weak but honest laugh, while trying not to cry' sort of way. She reached up, quickly pulling the tears that were attempting to form in the girl's eyes, away with a soft stroke of her thumb. "Don't you start, or I just might start again... my tears don't hide so easily." Obviously.
"Do you trust them? These... Fallen? Do you think they are genuine, in thier desires to try to make things better?"

| "I trust them. We all fell for the right reasons. We love Man. I don't understand how any of us could lose our purpose so compeltely that we would kill and torture the very things we gave up paradise for. It's just madness." She shook her head, eyes wide.
"But I feel the abyss in me, twisting me up inside. The guilt and anger make my soul ache. I could see how it could take someone's reason from them." She sighed. "I think no, matter how dark and wrong my fellow fallen have become, they are still striving to do what they think is best. Even if they are insane."
"These fallen knew me from before. I was friends with one of them in particular. He was a sculpter of earth and stone." She smiled when she thought about him. "You can see how well a fallen's mind is by what they look like when they show their true form. Our wellness is reflected in that form. Beautiful and angelic to horns and tails and bat wings and the like."
"I...I should take you flying sometime. That lifts my spirits."

| "I want to meet them.... " she said, rather suddenly. Her form continued to cuddle up aginst the girl cuddling her, arms wrapping tenderly around. "Maybe we can all figure out a solution.. a way to make a real difference.. something lasting." she looked to the girl's eyes, her face inches away. "Do you think they would meet me, Mihr?"
Her hand coming up to the creature's face, lightly cupping it. "Flying? As in.. through the sky?" she smiles a little bit. "I would like that, I think."

| Mihr laughed. "Of course through the sky! My particular House's domain also includes the winds."
Mihr considered how she felt the others would react to Michelle. The bond between them was strong. If she hadn't gotten that, then it would be quite impossible, but now it should be alright.
"Sure, I think one in particular would like to meet you now that you're helping me. He's rather protective. I'll have to ask though. Our identities are rather important to us. When someone simply knowing your name means they can spy on you from anywhere, you have to be careful." She said smiling.

| "I would never willingly forsake the trust you have placed, in me, Mihr. Not ever. Nor would I ever do such, with your..friends. As long as they are who and what you think they are, that is." she leaned in and placed her forhead against the other woman's. "I swear." she said with soft spoken token and eyes half shut.
"Yes... talk to them. Ask them. If they say no... I understand. Of all things, I understand the need for secrecy, most of all." she pulled her head back slightly, to gaze into the angels eyes again. "As I said before, you and I... we need to be careful. There are kindred everywhere. Most of them are highly suspicious, dangerous creatures. But... there is a structure amongst them, for the most part. Lines in the sand, that most dare not to cross. One... is ownership of things and people." the hand cupping the creatures cheek, lightly stroked it, now.. appreciatively.
"If you come across them, in the future... mention me. Tell them, that you are mine. Tell them, that you are bound to me. Through consumption of kindred blood, the vampire can mystically bind the subject, to themselves. I will not attempt to do such, to you... but you must understand, if you are exposed, this may be the only way to stop them from attempting anything against you." she explained. "Say that you have tasted my blood.. that you are mine, and it may keep you safe, if I cannot be there at the time. But most of all, do not let them know you know of them... doing such... could be very bad" She already had spoken of this, but obviously it was a point she wanted made perfectly clear.

| Mihr considered what Michelle was saying. "Bound by drinking blood? But you're not a vampire? I've never heard of anything like that."
"Man, I was looking for vampires the other night. I'm glad I didn't find one...oh, I was supposed to meet with that guy, he had a job for me. I should go see him and let him know I'm good now." She said smiling.
"I was looking for vampires because I heard a vampire called a Giovani could talk to ghosts. Are you a giovanni?"

| "Yes... the drinking of kindred blood, empowers mortals. Not sure if it would do anything for or to you, but for humans... it grants a version of limited immortality, a fraction of kindred powers, and each time they consume the blood of a vampire, they become mystically bonded to that person. It is a step by step process.. the first time, you like the person, the second time... you really like the person.. the third, you are a slave, pretty much, to whatever that person wants... recklessly, at times." She shrugged. "I have a few ghouls of my own, but refuse to let them think they are slaves, or treat them like such. To me... ghouling them keeps them safe.. much much safer than not."
A small blink was offered. "You went... looking for ... vampires." Chances are, she likely found one. "A man? What kind of man? What did he look like? And no... I am not Giovanni. Trust me, you would rather not deal with them. My ability to contact spirits, see the last moments before a person's death, and speak to them... comes from that bloodline, but I refuse to dive to deep into Necromancy. Any futher than what I know, gets into some pretty filthy stuff."
