She didn't seem to have any trouble following his line of thought, though.

"While what you say is true, I actually differ from others because of my brother. From the closeness that we have shared from the days of being mortal. We are a team, and nothing but death could separate that."

"You are wrong... Love, will seperate that." He nodded. "The love of another, will always come between things it should not. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow.. but it always does."

He shook his head. "Sorry. It is not my intention to say you are not capable of handling.. whatever it is you have going with this other person. I just hope you are careful. Sometimes, motives dont come to the surface until it is too late... and I hope that such is not in store, for you." he glanced up, to see how far out from shore they were.

They weren't very far from shore. But she started to laugh, a quiet sound of pure amusement.

"You do not know my brother, if you think that. He has no greater love than himself, with me a close second. That is as far as 'love' goes for Amun."

"I am not talking, about him..."

Rolf said this rather flatly. Dry, almost.

"I have no doubt, that you and your brother are solid.. but the moment you find comfort in another... things can spiral out of hand."

Her brows rose.

"I have Amun. Why would I need comfort from another?"

She seemed genuinely confused by that thought.

"Nevermind." he muttered. His face twitched again, more heavily. He started to fidget. It was a telling sign, that he was likely ancy to depart. SOmething was eating away at him, but what.. was anyone's guess.

She wasn't the prying type, apparently.

"Very well."

They were going to be pulling up to the dock in less than five minutes. If he truly wished to get away and get to shore... he was in very little danger if he wanted to swim.

"I am sorry..." he muttered, nearly whispered. "I... cant...." and with that, his form began to change... down into the bird form.

Once the change was done, he was off into the air, and into the night.

What the fuck?

What the fuck, indeed. She watched him go, puzzled, but she didn't attempt to try and understand him.
